The Information & Analytics (I&A) team leads the business information and advanced analytics agenda at Unilever, working with partners, functions, categories, and geographies to harmonise decision-making and deliver technology solutions to drive business insight. Driving innovation and creativity to deliver competitive advantage is at the heart of what the I&A team delivers.

The team is made up of specialists who are able to partner with ETS CD IT innovation and business areas to transform data to information & insights to deliver competitive advantage for Unilever, by using a diversified set of skills and tools.

There are 3 main skill sets necessary to cover the needs of the global CD community of users, leading to 3 distinct SME roles, including:

Core Data SMEs – Bangalore/Manilla - responsible for setting the data foundation and capabilities for Basic CD Performance management

Big Data SMEs for Net Revenue Management and Trade Promotions Mgt – UK - responsible for setting the data lake (data foundation) for insights generation in the areas of NRM / TPM –

Big Data SMEs for Route To Market/Retail Execution and Sales Productivity – Brazil - responsible for setting the data lake (data foundation) for insights generation in the areas of Route to Market/ Retail Execution and Sales Productivity.

Main purpose of job:

This role will focus on business partnering and developing information & analytics solutions to the global CD CoE and in partnership with the global CD IT Innovation team.

This role will be responsible for delivering against the I&A strategy, portfolio of projects and services as agreed with the global CD IT Innovation and global CD CoE.

Key accountabilities:

Engage with the global CD and ETS stakeholders, providing end to end information leadership

Partner directly with ETS CD engagement teams and global business functions to understand the business functional needs and how to support the Unilever continuous improvement and growth

Provide information mgt knowledge in specific functional/sub-functional area of expertise

Work with global ETS and business functional area to establish I&A objectives, define strategies & portfolio of projects, draw up requirement specifications, conduct feasibility studies, produce high level business models, oversee development and implementation of the solution.

Work with the business leaders to ensure that the business benefits are realized within the terms of the business case.

Provide the relevant inputs to the Global Functional Execs to drive appropriate prioritization of global CD portfolio of projects with emphasis on Core Data Foundation, Information and Analytics solutions.

Develop and Deliver information & analytics products to the function

Manage and deliver the CD Information & Analytics innovation projects on-time, in-full, to-budget and in compliance with IT and Information standards and processes, without business disruption.

Evaluate and structure each functional opportunity into appropriate projects with clear deliverables, timelines and cost.

Establish and operate the governance mechanism to steer the projects (including support on prioritization, funding and resource commitments).

Partner with Global Market I&A teams to ensure the global capability fits for purpose at Cluster/MCO levels and to "land" functional projects in the regions.

Work collaboratively with I&A Capability teams to ensure foundational components of the solutions are delivered and transition to services is managed accordingly, eg.

Global Data Services - for provision of the data lake/platform for CD

Reporting & Presentation – for provision of front end solutions for CD

Analytics Hubs – for provision of analytics assets for CD

Provide superior information services to the function

Champion Information & Analytics with clients and regional (I&A/CD IT) teams to drive behavioral change.

Work with Regional teams to ensure maximum utilization of Information solutions and that improvements are made in the business operations as Information projects go live.

Provide 3 rd

level support on topics of Information & Analytics for CD

Work with I&A Global Data Services Area to ensure BAU performance & action plan is delivered in line with the global functional strategy.

Take full responsibility for the customer satisfaction at global level and leverage from the regional teams to ensure the same at cluster/MCO levels

Lead and manage a team of information professionals, containing both internal employees and external partners, to deliver to a high standard
