The Playbook Associate Shopper Marketing Manager’s primary responsibilities include the following:

Oversees and manages Unilever’s Shopper Marketing go to market system \(Playbook\) for our regional customers \(currently 65 customers\)\. Manage agency partners and hold them accountable for key deliverables from a process, budget management, systems and planning standpoint\.

For specific top regional customers i\.e\. Wakefern, Meijer, Giant Eagle, Wegmans, Rite\-Aid, work with CD in the development of Playbook customer SM plans, provide strategic support to CD for critical customer facing meetings \(i\.e\. JBP meetings, Top to Top mtgs, etc\.\) and represent UL Shopper Marketing at those meetings\.

Work with TUS and CD in the development of custom Playbook programs, where needed, including writing briefs, selling in and managing the overall execution of specific programs to top customers\.

Position Responsibilities:

Project & Agency Management:

+ Effectively handle a breadth of programs across multiple top customers while working closely with and delegating to CD and agency team\.

+ Manage agency partners to ensure delivery of all key job responsibilities \(processes, system management and financial management\) and delivery of requirements outlined in briefs\.

Cross Functional Team Alignment:

+ Educate CD on SM vision and train them on SM policy, processes and best practice\. Ensure CD is following policy and processes\. Develop and issue monthly e\-newsletter on Playbook and brand info for CD to further drive SM vision and keep CD up to date on brand strategy and activation\.

+ Align and interface with SM Category Leads on program and creative asset deliverables for Playbook system\. Ensure any custom SM programs for Playbook customers are strategically aligned and approved by the SM Category Leads\.Budget Management

+ Manage, with the help of agency teams, the 65 customers Playbook annual budget process including implement cuts and pursuing incremental opportunities\. Provide key reports i\.e\. the remaining budget reports to CD on a monthly basis\.Program Execution & Measurement:

+ Develop and execute world\-class integrated and collaborative shopper marketing plans at specific top regional customers for Unilever brands\. These programs should deliver on the brand Jobs\-to\-be\-Done, drive category growth, promote cross\-category conversion & be profitable for both Unilever & our customers\.

+ Analyze and measure SM programs by understanding business results, key learnings and recommendations for future programs\. Own final program recap presentations for brand teams and co\-present learnings with CD partners\.

Key Requirements:

+ Undergraduate degree in Marketing, MBA a plus

+ 3\-5 years’ experience across Customer Development and Shopper or Brand Marketing

+ Demonstrated knowledge of the consumer packaged goods industry, retail channels and account specific marketing

+ Experience in digital marketing and understanding of consumer behavior in this space

+ Ability to manage operational complexity across budget management for 65 customers

+ Strategic thinking to assess customers’ objectives and align with UL brand’s JTBD

+ Creative thinking to approach things differently than historical plan

+ Highly organized; able to multi task and communicate with numerous touch points

+ Lead role in identifying and presenting new opportunities to Customer Development, Marketing and our customers

+ Ability to fully collaborate with Shopper Marketing and Customer Development teams, and with Retailer; is driven to achieve mutual objectives as one collective team

+ Must be able to effectively communicate and uphold the SM Vision and principles with regional customers and CD team

+ Prioritization of plans based on JTBD and budget across the path to purchase

+ Ability to pushback on non\-critical projects
