The Go to Market (GtM) Quality role works within a Market Cluster / Multi Country Organization (MCO ‐ a geographic grouping of UL operating companies). Role is focused on Quality in the Go to Market operations, implementing, executing, improving, ensuring and providing technical quality support to customers, stand‐alone repacking / assembling operations, Brand Building and local Brand Development (for promotions, INCs/local jewels) for Quality Management System (QMS) compliance, regulatory compliance, care line support, product and pack on‐shelf quality and market place incident management.
This leadership role is for Americas and Europe only. Reports to VP SC. Is a member of the MCO SC Leadership team and UASCC or USCC Quality Leadership forums.

Customer, Consumer & Q Improvement
Engages in Cold Chain Quality support and improvements at Customer through to Point of Sale and distributors, concessionaires
Challenges BB and PGs/BD to drive prevention and improvement in complaints related to on‐shelf CRQS
issues
Initiates proactive management of quality issues with customers & channels (drug / club / e‐commerce / traditional / modern) including rejections, complaints, technical support, training for product handling e.g. Cold Chain, waste reduction in customer
Provides Quality requirements for physical product returns from customers and provides disposition approval (where needed)

Participates on SC projects as Q member as needed
Prepares leadership reports and communications and ensures improvement plans are in place and follows up progress through regular review
Monitors, aggregates and analyzes market place data from multiple channels (e.g. consumer & customer care lines, shelf inspections, warehouse & re‐packer data, employee observations etc) to prioritize, escalate and initiate Q improvement activities as appropriate
Initiates and drives Quality improvement projects within MCOs for business complaints, cold chain and on‐
shelf CRQS improvement by using data analysis, workshops, and toolkits
Provides MCO interface to Consumer / Customer care lines for alert triggers and feedback data

Customers, Shoppers & Promotions
Proactively builds customer Quality relationships through Quality to Quality discussion and joint improvement programs
Supports Procurement issue resolution and capability assessment for promotional material suppliers
Defines CRQS for Secondary Packaging based on Customer needs and ensures globally aligned
Evaluates first production quality of promotional products & packs from independent third party repackers &
assemblers
Ensures regular market place on‐shelf product assessments are carried out (CRQS evaluations), data is analyzed and improvement projects are activated and followed up
Links Quality requirements into Perfect Store
initiatives
Spends time in market to understand customer and merchandising processes and to identify and activate opportunities for improvement

Regulatory & QMS Compliance
Provides coaching and input to warehouse, manufacturing sites, assemblers, repackers and other teams during external regulatory body audits & inspections (with input from Regulatory Affairs & Legal)
Ensures and verifies ongoing compliance to local regulatory requirements in independent third party re‐
packers, assemblers
Communicates local regulatory requirements / knowledge / details / changes sourced from Regulatory Affairs & Legal to Product Group Quality to ensure compliance at manufacturing sites and with Logistics Quality to ensure compliance at warehousing sites and in‐warehouse re‐packing operations within MCO
Ensures discipline in use of SAP QM and provides master data updates
Ensures and verifies ongoing compliance to UL Quality Management Standards in third party re‐packers and assemblers, through communication, self‐assessment activities, KPI monitoring, technical visits (as needed) and general oversight
Leads / participates in Quality Expert interventions (e.g. Operational Quality Reviews, HACCP workshops, Training events, etc.)
Validates that new third party re‐packers & assemblers are capable of meeting UL Quality requirements by conducting technical capability assessments
Defines Quality requirements for promotional products & packs through creation of Quality documents

Innovation, Change & Inter‐company sourcing
Ensures re‐codification of product for export (as needed)
Raises issues and drives improvements for import / export with supplying PG (and site / factory as needed) Ensure local registration of import product to comply with legislation
Initiates and prepares Inter‐company Quality documents for cross border inter‐Unilever FG import, validates
first shipment quality and monitors on‐going quality of FG received
Provides Q input to MCO VIP projects by ensuring quality risk assessment and mitigation is conducted
Ensures instant audits are completed for new innovations and promotions to provide timely feedback
Defines Quality requirements for Licensing & Franchise contracts through Quality manuals and written standards and ensures regulatory compliance

Incident & Non‐conformance management
Provides expertise, leadership and support in Quality management for resolution of Quality issues related to incidents and product non‐conformances in repackers, assemblers, promotions suppliers and customers within MCO geography
Reports all market place non‐conformances (A, B, C incidents) using UL IT tools
Leads Local Product Incident management for product related market place incidents and consequent
actions (e.g. product withdrawal, regulatory body interaction, investigation and corrective action completion)
Chairs cross‐functional MCO Quality committee to provide disposition decisions for non‐conforming products within MCO

Leadership, People, Culture & Linkage
Develops Quality links to MCO and SC GtM strategy
Deploys UL Quality strategy, governance and goals through MCO activities
Provides Quality leadership to influence Quality culture through activities to create passion for products and brands, visibility for quality, quality messaging in non‐SC company initiatives and coaching of cross‐functional leadership across the MCO
Represents Quality in the MCO at the MCO SCLT for both GtM and relevant Product Group / Manufacturing
Site issues and updates
Participates in linkage forums with other GtM Q Leaders within SC Company, to ensure alignment (led by
Group Q)
Initiates and leads links / forums to Product Group Quality Leaders who supply MCO to review needs and performance
Builds Quality talent in MCO through recruitment, coaching, succession planning and training
Participates in local external industry associations
Supports preparation of standards training materials (lead by Group Q)
