**The Opportunity:**

We are seeking a Director, Global Project Leader (IT/Digital Solutions) who will be fully responsible for the overall management and seamless execution of new product development program(s) from concept through commercialization, which may also include 12-18 months of post launch surveillance as well as delivery of key product enhancements post launch. This leader will be responsible to set the overall program goals and KPI’s for the cross functional team. The role requires a highly visible and versatile leader who is proficient at leading through a matrix management structure driving the team to deliver the program on-time, in-scope, and within-budget. He/she will represent the team effectively at all levels, provide mentorship, help create a leading organization, and drive with compassion. He/She will provide subject matter expertise for complex, Information Technology/Digital Solutions and its application in IVD; understanding technology choices and will be proficient in Manufacturing Criteria/Tradeoffs (Development Cost/Time/UMC/Reliability/Complexity) Likewise, this person will provide thought leadership and influence to drive key decisions in areas such as Product Functions/Features, prioritization of features, drive customer satisfaction/improvement over current products, He/she will work closely with the Product Manager to align the program with the marketing strategy & customer requirements needed for success. He/she will also work with a Project Manager to track & understand which activities may be on the critical path that requires added attention and decisions to be made to ensure the program continues to stay on track to meet all expectations. Additionally this leader is required to have strong communications skills and be comfortable presenting to executive leaders, functional leaders, key customers, etc…as required.

This person will report to the Business Field Leader (VP1) and will be expected to lead a cross functional team to bring the product to market and continue ongoing enhancements to the product. This positioin will be located in either Rochester, NY or Raritan, NJ.

**The Responsibilities:**

+ Leads a cross functional team comprised of IT R&D, regulatory, quality, marketing, finance, supply chain and commercial to bring a product to market and continue to lead ongoing enhancements to meet customer needs.

+ Works with the Product Manager to ensure the program aligns to the marketing strategy and commercial model to ensure successful product uptake.

+ Fully responsible for all program related activities

+ Accountable to deliver the project on-time, on-budget and within scope

+ A dynamic leader who is able to analyze various business aspects enabling them to make quick decisions on the program

+ Manages to the program budget to ensure all commitments and expenditures are accurate and on budget

+ Manages the day to day working relationship of key external partners

+ Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Other Duties

+ Engage in Business field leadership meetings

+ Participate in Global launch meetings

+ Manage relationship & program execution with external partners

+ Coordinate and drive activities across programs when there are critical interdependencies

**The Individual:**

+ Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus

+ 10+ experience in marketing/business/R&D experience.

+ Experience in medical device or diagnostics required

+ Demonstrated aptitude to manage people across multiple disciplines (inclusive of commercial & technical)

+ Highly organized individual with ability to manage multiple work streams, set clear priorities and make supported decisions.

+ Past successes leading large-scale, strategic projects

+ Meets deadlines and communicates effectively and proactively to colleagues and management

+ Superior problem solving skills

+ 20% domestic (primarily between Raritan NJ and Rochester NY) and 15% International is required.
