**The Opportunity:**

As the company transitions, we are seeking an Engineer to join our growing site in Pencoed.

**The Responsibilities:**

**Maximising Process Equipment Performance**

• Lead continuous improvement of routine maintenance procedures and service contract activities.

• Facilitate teams to conduct effective root cause analysis, Failure Modes and Effect Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

• Leadership of cross-functional project teams – defining roles and responsibilities.

• Management of project risks and issues proactively and effectively to ensure the desired outcome is achieved.

• Effective planning and change preparation, using the appropriate tools.

• Review, evaluate, leverage and adapt new technologies for the benefit of the business.

• Develop solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives such as quality circles, benchmarks and leverage opportunities.

• Demonstrate the skills needed to efficiently resolve both operational and facilities equipment issues

• Lead cross functional teams to Identify and eliminate waste attributed to poor process equipment performance (through incremental process improvement projects).

• Manage engineering non – conformance process through to corrective action via the sites quality process.

• Lead maintenance technicians in the development of machine performance metrics, which are linked to the site goals. By analysis of this data and selection of the appropriate tool(s) ensure that the equipment is operating to sustain customer supply.

• Effectively identifying and selecting project sponsors, customers and stakeholders.

• Management of customer and stake holder expectations

• Develop and implement appropriate project communication and support plans

• Generating project business case - Project finance and budgetary control.

• Assignment and management of cross-functional resources to deliver project milestones.

• Management of project risks proactively and effectively to meet customer expectations.

Maintenance Support

• Provide reasonable overtime support to effectively resolve both operational and non-operational equipment issues.

• Provide the necessary support to ensure a reasonable and effective engineering ‘On-Call’ Rota is established and maintained.

• Provide effective cover for Peer Engineers to accommodate holidays, off-site activates, etc. Generation of documentation to maintain the validated state (Training, SOP’s).

**The Individual:**

Education

• Minimum of a HNC (HND preferable) in an Engineering discipline and hold a professional qualification e.g. I.Eng, etc. ( Mech. / Elec. / Control) would be desirable.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience within a manufacturing environment. Proven problem-solving skills in order that the jobholder may quickly and effectively implement process improvements and overcome maintenance related issues.

• Proven ability to effectively lead cross-functional disciplines within the Pharma. or Diagnostic/Healthcare industry.

Specific Technical Skills

Essential

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft office tools for communication and reporting

• Proven track record of process equipment implementation within a regulated environment

• Structured problem solving methodologies

• Working knowledge of project schedule software (e.g MS Project).

• Documentation / Technical report writing skills

Desirable

• Six Sigma Green

• Lean Methodologies knowledge

• GAMP Knowledge
