The Opportunity:
As the company transitions, we are seeking a Area Automation Manager for the West region. The Area Automation Manager is responsible for managing automation and placing OCD instrumentation in labs. The AMM will also be accountable for the following: creating a strategic challenger approach to the business by leading and executing the sales process, displaying product expertise, selling to executive level professionals, managing process flow and workload mapping, lab economics, and progressive investment strategies to generate new business and to retain current accounts that utilize EnGen and Workcell automation. The AAM is also responsible for translating the company’s strategic imperatives into execution plans within the area and to inform the organization of trends in the market place. AAM should be an influential leader on the area team and work with the AVP to deliver on goals and strategies for their area. They should also demonstrate a good balance between results and team engagement.

The Responsibilities:
*Major Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Strategic Business Competency and Sales Management
* Helps Create, review, update, and implement Area automation bids, quotes, and RFPs
* Area Expert on OCD Automation, knowledge of Process Flow and Lab Economics
* Analyzes & interprets data & reports with outcomes to drive business needs requiring automation
* Recognize and inform the Area of industry trends
* Influences & partners with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives
* Identify Overarching customer business challenges to aid in constructing Automation solutions
* Leads Sales Process which is tailored and unique to each customer’s business Challenges
* In collaboration with AVPs, RMs, Point person for all Area Automation needs
* Completes regular co-travel with team members to qualified Automation prospects
* Works in collaboration with Marketing and Engineering building automation solutions for customers
* Establish relationships key thought leadersprocess improvement KOLs to expand the overall strategy of OCD in Automation for the organization
* Coaching and Development
* Weekly contact with AVP
* Travels within each District appropriate for number of automation prospects
* Post Co-travels reports given to AVP within one week post-co-travel
* Utilizes Challenger coaching guides and collaborates coaching activities with Districts to grow core competencies of sales team’s knowledge and proficiency on automation
* Provide constructive feedback on personnel as required by RMs, AVP
* Leadership & Motivation
* Shares best practices with other Marketing and other AAS nationwide
* Highly involved in any design and implementation of automation in an account
* Actively participates in team meetings by making positive comments and offering viable solutions
* Assist sales teams to qualify who is a good match for OCD automation
* Assist AVP as the manager of automation sites; existing and prospective
* Identifies opportunities to collaborate with other departments to enhance customer experience
* Accountable for successful team communication within the Area
* Ensure Team is kept well informed of latest marketing and industry trends
* Educates the team on competitive sales trends in the market place
* Regular communication which inspires a productive team environment
* Strategizes and delineates sales execution activities to the AMs
* Ensure collaboration between Sales Teams and Stakeholders- marketing, engineering

*Reporting*
* Regular reports on personal activities as mandated by AVP
* Regular reports that outline Area Activities on automation
* Perform other work related duties as assigned
* Responsible for all company assigned compliance and training by the due date assigned
* Ensure Expenses are submitted bi-weekly at a minimum to your manager
* Ensure Expenses follow all company and HCC requirements
* Ensure All Safe Fleet policies and procedures must be followed at all times
* Ensure Cell Phones may not be used at any time with the vehicle is in motion, per the Safe Fleet Policy.
* Assist in covering vacant territories within district

The Individual:
* BABS Degree is required
* A minimum of 5 years of consulting or workflow experience and proven ability to develop consultative relationships while interacting within all levels of an organization
* A minimum of 4 years of Automation experience, plus knowledge of Process Flow and Lab Economics is required
* Strong healthcare industry knowledge and understanding the laboratory market is preferred
* Ability to solve complex problems through innovative and breakthrough thinking
* Excellent oral and written communicationpresentation required
* Time management skills, with ability to effectively prioritize activities and flexibility to change course as necessary to react to changing businessmarket conditions or business goals
* Required Travel - 80% domestic travel
