The day after I visited Big Daddy's Antiques here in San Francisco, I saw in a new Pottery Barn catalog that he (Shane Brown) had created a line for them.   Here are some shots that I took while in his store.

Typically making use of reclaimed wood and mixing in iron and other metals with vintage...

And now there are pieces like this metal and reclaimed wood bedside table at Pottery Barn

and this this casual dining set with iron X chairs (on sale right now).

AND I noticed that Big Daddy's is one of the sources listed in Brooke and Steve Giannetti's book about their amazing new home.  That guy gets around!

Speaking of Brooke's new book, Patina Farm--it's GREAT.  I read it cover to cover...and have flipped through it twice more for inspiration.

Notice the serene master bedroom...soft colors, muted patterns, antiques mixed with new materials...light walls, lack of moldings.  Each time I look at the book,  I notice new things.

But the details don't scream out at you.  Such restraint.

I love how this seating area is tucked into the side of the house.

I met Brooke four years ago when one of our readers, Linda, treated us to lunch.

Hey, we have both cut our hair shorter since then!  She is honestly a sweet, humble and hard working person.  I am happy for her success.  She deserves it!

Thanks for visiting!
