Welcome to our gallery featuring 49 cool pools.

Swimming pools are a great addition to any space and the design options are nearly endless!

They are fun, functional, and relaxing — offering the perfect space to relax on a warm day.

They can be used for the fun of swimming and also serve the purpose of a stunning water feature in the design of the home.

Pools are a great way to utilize space around a house, adding value, beauty, and most importantly, less yard work to deal with. They can be fit into any space, integrated into the design of the house itself, or completely stand apart from it.

Contrary to popular opinion, you don’t need to have a large yard to include a swimming pool. Some of the ones we have featured here are not much bigger than a jacuzzi or are narrow-yet-long to best utilize a small open space.

Pools can come in many different colors, via lighting or tiling, to complement or contrast colors in the landscaping or exterior of the house. They can be organically curved or rigidly structured and come in many different materials for a multitude of different looks.

Some pools are even perfectly built for entertaining. Edging the pool with a slightly raised bar and installing in-pool barstools offers up a great place to hang out while still enjoying the refreshing water.

You can create a personal oasis for yourself and your family in your backyard, adding fountains, waterfalls, and other features to make the space even more inviting.

Hopefully we have found something here that inspires your dream designs – or sparks new ideas- of owning a swimming pool. Enjoy the rest of this refreshing gallery!

With the pool extending right up to the house, the “floating” walkway is a perfect and necessary addition to the pool. Foliage and teal tile work livens up the room and adds to the overall design.

Rounded brick edges differentiates this pool from the standard rectangles one usually sees. A small fountain creates a charming water feature in the jacuzzi and the water gently flows down into the main pool down the tiled brick steps.

Fitting the more modern/industrial look of the house’s exterior, the mix of rough brick, concrete, reflective tile, and natural wood creates an excellent palette for the deep blue water of the pool. Bamboo and other carefully chosen plants around the pool give the space a natural touch to offset the rough materials.

Entertaining in the pool is never a bad idea. Having a poolside bar with built in barstools for guests to relax and enjoy a drink or snacks in the pool is great for any pool, big or small. Consider putting a small bar in a private pool for the same benefit.
