The third movie in the “Expendables” franchise already features a stable of reliable tough guys, martial arts experts and all around bad asses. However, there’s always room for one more action star in this series.

According to Deadline.com:

Remember when Nicolas Cage was supposed to join the ensemble of action stars of Millennium Films’ The Expendables 3? Well, guess what, that role is going to Kelsey Grammer. Grammer is near a deal to play the role of Bonaparte, an ex-mercenary who helps the Expendables in their mission. While Grammer was long identified for playing the mild-mannered shrink-turned-radio host Dr. Frasier Crane, he has transformed into a Hollywood tough guy.

It’s hard to picture the doughy former sitcom actor kicking ass alongside cast-mates Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren and Jet Li. However,  naysayers should keep in mind that the voice of Sideshow Bob once performed this death-defying stunt at Disneyland’s Hyperion Theater during the park’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2005:

Presumably, no one is taking this news harder than poor Michael Dudikoff. The former action star carried three “American Ninja” movies and apparently can’t even nab a bit part as “Henchman #2.”

That’s just cold.
