DefiantGoods and Canary3d bring you hand-knit goodness!
DefiantGoods knitted 10 different stitch patterns in a neutral yarn Color. Then we scanned them and made them seamless and lighting-neutral, and created height maps (normal and displacement) with hand-painted enhancements to fully capture each pattern. Canary3d chose 16 beautiful Colors from a late 19th-century yarn catalog, and added black, grey, and white for good measure. Then we hand-painted Multi-Colored patterns for each stitch, inspired by the vivid Colors of 1980's fashion knitwear.
The result is a unique set of textures and shaders that will give your scenes and products real-world dimension and beauty.
Each stitch pattern has roughness/bump, height/displacement and normal maps in addition to 19 solid Color maps and 2 or more Multi-Color maps. All maps are 4096x4096 for extreme detail even at very large render resolutions.
All presets come in Iray and 3Delight versions, for maximum choice in rendering.
This is a merchant resource. You may use the texture maps to create uv-specific textures for commercial items, and you may use the Iray and 3delight settings to create your own material or shader presets. You may not redistribute the original seamless textures or use the textures to create tiling shader sets.
