TITLE: Director, Performance and Asset Management

EMPLOYER: AES Services, Inc.

LOCATION: Arlington, VA

DUTIES: Evaluate and compare plant performance based on type (e.g. gas, hydro, coal, etc) and conditions. Identify operational inefficiencies that require critical attention and resources. Standardize the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) process and criteria to optimize the distribution of resources for most critical activities and growth. Assess the prioritization criteria for the CAPEX budget and verify the well distribution of company resources. Integrate CAPEX budget with critical assets under risk of failure and take preventive activities. Identify growth activities (expansions) for revenue generation. Maintain close oversight of the execution of the CAPEX budget plan (variances and corrective actions). Serve as a liaison to company Continuous Improvement Program. Manage performance for Global Operations Support Group.

REQUIREMENTS: Position requires Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration and 5 years of experience in energy generation and utilities performance management. Must have experience with: ISO5500 or PAS 55 Asset Management standards; asset prioritization based on criticality and performance, project selection process, budget elaboration, and distribution; maintenance prioritization, including infield time measurement, and developing solutions for time optimization of field work; work management ERP software, such as SAP, including Plant Maintenance (PM), Project Systems (PS), and Investment Management (IM) modules; revenue protection, collections, meter reading and labor field optimization for a utility business; managing continuous performance and quality improvement programs with proven impact in operations, general, and administrative areas; developing and executing emergency maintenance strategies, including optimizing emergency maintenance crews, developing solutions to reduce cost, and integrating technological solutions in the field; PDCA, 5S, Six Sigma, prioritization methods, and process flowcharting according to ISO 10012, 10006, 100014; identifying KPI dashboards, target setting and benchmarking; energy generation operations peformance management; automation and installation of control systems, including Programmable Logic Control devices (PLC’s), central monitoring units, and industry communication protocols; project management with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural groups; interpreting and integrating financial and operational performance; digital control systems and historian systems, including PI and ETAPRO. Position requires 35% domestic & international travel.

SALARY: $150,405 - $196,560 per year
