Configuration/Data Management Specialist I, II, III & IV
Analyzes complex engineering change proposals. Monitors contractors, subcontractors, and vendors of long-term/high revenue contracts to ensure that the applications of military standards and requirements for the statement of work are properly implemented. Designs, develops, and establishes configuration and data management documentation based on program requirements. Reviews and makes recommendation on contractor engineering data. Identifies requirements and coordinates the development and implementation of computer based configuration, data management systems, and electronic data support. Develops and implements new processes.
Engineer I, II, III, IV & V
Includes engineering specialties, such as Communications, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Reliability and Maintainability, Human Factors, Security, Safety, Radar, Environmental, Meteorology, Nuclear, and Computer. Responsible for designing and accomplishing engineering tasks in their area of specialty in order to attain specific performances criteria. Can include a wide variety of specific tasks including but not limited to analysis, modeling, design, field support, manufacturing support, process development, and quality assurance.
Engineering Associate I & II
Perform support tasks for members of the technical staff. Observe field tests and experiments,, support test and evaluation, monitor data collection and reduction activities, perform computer data entry and operations tasks, and conduct research.
Enterprise Architect I & II
Responsible for oversight and review of the design, structure, and overall performance of an enterprise system or systems of systems designed to meet specific requirements. Assists in the preparation of requirements, design specifications, conceptual approaches and interoperability constraints for systems. Evaluates proposed systems for functionality, interoperability, maintainability, and overall efficiency and effectiveness. Works with prime contractor design teams to ensure that critical architecture issues are identified early in design process and that interfaces with legacy and new systems are appropriately managed in new systems. Will possess certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M.
Information Assurance Specialist I, II & III
Responsible for ensuring information systems are secure and that data maintained in these systems is protected from unauthorized access. Oversight and review of firewalls and intrusion detection systems that reflect current state of the art in information assurance and monitors and reports on intrusion detection events. Responsible for ensuring COTS products (hardware and software) meet current information assurance standards and that security patches released by OEMs are installed and verified. Ensures that uniquely developed systems and software have required level of information assurance and that designs are compliant with current regulatory requirements. Evaluates current status of potential information system threats from casual intrusion to intrusions meant to permanently or irreparably degrade system performance of protection. Will possess certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M.
Logistics Specialist I, II, III, IV & V
Performs analysis and appraisal of hardware designs to identify and document maintenance and support requirements. Reviews engineering design and changes and analyzes equipment characteristics. Utilizes logistics modeling techniques to predict maintenance levels and costs.
Manufacturing/Production Specialist II, III & IV
Responsible for monitoring, assessing, and inspecting manufacturing and production processes and operations. Provides guidance to manufacturers on process improvements that result in improved quality and reproducibility, reduced cost, and increased throughput. Works with prime contractor designers to factor producability into designs at early stages and reviews requirements to ensure that producability is considered in establishing requirements. Evaluates production quality information and provides assistance in determining cause and corrective actions for manufacturing quality problems. Assists in the deployment of Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Network Engineer II, III & IV
Responsible for providing the following technical and engineering support for the network engineering activity areas: network systems analysis, information technology processing techniques, network engineering, and security. Research and evaluate all aspects of networking, including software and hardware and the critical interface issues between hardware and software. Analyze reliability and availability of systems, evaluate network and information systems methodologies, performance evaluation and optimization, networking and computer communication, design criteria requirements, and test requirement identification.
Operations Analyst I & II
Provides analysis of operational environments and the effectiveness of system performance in those environments. Evaluates proposed solutions for reliability, maintainability, supportability, and functionality in real or proposed operational usage scenarios. Provides feedback to system designers, manufacturers, and logisticians on the performance of and requirements for improving performance in the operational environment.
Operations Research Analyst I & II
Provides detailed analyses of systems in support of conceptual assessments, modeling and simulation activities, and operational scenarios. Ensures that analyses represent real-world environments and conditions in the projected environment. Use Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs. Conduct Analysis of Alternatives evaluations. Perform cost/performance trade studies, cost/benefit analyses, and analyses of life-cycle cost. Support studies and analyses of producability, sustainability, and reliability for components and systems.
Process Engineer III & IV
Analyzes product failures for root causes, proposes corrective action, prepares failure analysis reports, and maintains reliability control database on product success/failure history. Develops new processes as required to meet requirements and assists in continuously improving processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
Program Manager I, II & III
Responsible for managing, planning, and organizing a major program within a large program office or within the supported organization.
Project Engineer I, II & III
Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and/or coordinating assigned engineering work. Ensures effective communication and coordination between engineering and other disciplines. Provides technical products and technical support over a broad range of system acquisition processes and activating, including but not limited to Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Requirements Analysis, Risk Management, Technical Management, and Pre-Program Acquisition Planning. May develop requirements, prepare plans, assess ability to achieve results, and communicate project objectives, plans, and status to the customer, the project team, and management. Monitors technical project progress according to plans and takes corrective action as necessary to achieve end result.
Software Engineer III, IV & V
Review prime contractor designs, tests, and evaluates software and systems that enable computers to perform their applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Systems Analyst I, II & III
Responsible for the evaluation of systems performance, including computer, electronic, and electrical systems. Assists in defining and developing system performance criteria and requirements, developing system design solutions, analyzing system performance during prototyping and early development stages, and conducting performance audits to demonstrate functionality. Works with the enterprise architect to ensure that systems fit within the system-of-systems concept for the enterprise and reviews system solutions to verity that they maintain system interoperability. Assess software solutions to evaluate the applicability of COTS approaches and evaluates hardware solutions to address best value approaches given life-cycle cost and performance.
Systems Engineer II, III & IV
Implement a robust systems engineering and integration process to address the life-cycle requirements of each product area identified in the Performance Work Statement. Also, support the various development efforts and phases, consisting of various sizes and complexities of Department of Defense-related systems, where a system is understood to be an assembly or combination of interrelated elements (e.g., hardware, software, materiel, training, tactics, or procedures) working together toward a common objective or performance requirement. Perform the following types of tasks: generation of safety studies and analyses; reviewing and evaluating system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plan/procedures/resulted, and technical data packages for the determination of both interim and final hazard classification and compliance with safety criteria, design, or test and /or qualification requirements.
Technical Specialist I & II
Provides technical guidance to personnel engaged in a specialized support function, and serves as technical specialist in the field. Serves as focal point for work requests of the group; plans, organizes, and coordinates the activities of personnel engaged in systems operations or maintenance.
Test Engineer I, II, III & IV
Provides the following technical and engineering support for Test and Evaluation (T&E): document review, test concept development, test plan development, test execution, test reporting, test methodology development, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing. Uses Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs.

(1) Degree and years of experience is what is desired for each Labor Category/Skill Level.
(2) Education and experience equivalency is permitted.
(a) Education Substituted for Experience: Formal education may substitute for related general and specialized experience. A Bachelors degree may substitute for four (4) years of experience. A Masters degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience. A Ph.D degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
(b) Experience Substituted for Formal Education: Related general experience may substitute for formal education. Two (2) years of additional related experience may substitute for an Associates Degree. Four (4) years of additional related experience may substitute for a Bachelors Degree. Two (2) additional years of related experience with similar functional responsibilities may substitute for a Masters Degree. Note: Does not apply to Engineering Labor Categories.
(c) Professional Certification/License Substituted for Experience: Each Professional Certification/License related to the field of expertise required is equivalent to two years of experience.
