**12455: Cybersecurity Engineer**

**Description:**

In order to meet current and projected Cybersecurity and Information Assurance requirements in support of AFLCMC program offices, the Government must augment its organic \(military and civil service\) capabilities at AFLCMC with Cybersecurity senior level skills in conducting Certification and Accreditation \(C&A\) for the Air Force\.

The candidate will be responsible for working on high\-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and be able to perform the technical support tasks relevant to all the task that relate to their functional discipline of Cybersecurity Engineering\. The candidate must have the experience and capability to support the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision\.

+ Implementation of DoD and Air Force Certification and Accreditation processes using DIACAP/ICD\-503/Risk Management Framework \(RMF\)
+ Platform Information Technology \(PIT\) experience with Aircraft, Simulators, and Industrial Control Systems \(ICS\)
+ Air Force Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository \(EITDR\) and DoD Enterprise Mission Assurance Security Services Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System \(eMASS\)
+ Incorporation of Anti\-Tamper and Supply Chain Risk Management \(SCRM\) during early stages of acquisition
+ Federal Information Security Management Act \(FISMA\) compliance to include annual testing, scanning and review activities
+ Incorporate Cybersecurity Strategy at various milestones
+ Information Assurance \(IA\) Risk Assessment/Management, Plan of Action and Milestone \(POA&M\) Development
+ Aircraft Platform IT and Commercial off the Shelf \(COTS\) approval processes
+ Create Information Assurance strategies aligning security with DoD 5000\.02 Acquisition lifecycle and process
+ Conduct vulnerability scanning, risk assessments, and create required lifecycle artifacts supporting Certification and Accreditation \(C&A\) for multiple organizations from any point in the system lifecycle

**Description of Services for Certification and Accreditation \(C&A\) Engineering Support**

The candidate must have demonstrated experience related to acquisition platform and sensor cyber security along with a solid understanding of Risk Management Framework information assurance planning, developing systems of systems \(SoS\), systems engineering, network engineering, and technical interface design\. An ability to apply and translate operational and user requirements into system and technical requirements for Fighter/Bomber platforms is critical\. The candidate must have a current and demonstrated background in The Trusted System Network Information and Communications Technology Risk Mitigation Guidebook \(TSN ICT RMG\) to provide expert advice to programs in establishing and maintaining effective ICT supply chain risk mitigation courses of action\. The candidate must have a current understanding of DoD acquisition processes to ensure timely and synchronized schedule integration of cybersecurity requirements into program schedules and milestones through various acquisition program Integrated Process Teams \(IPT\)\. The candidate must have current and demonstrated background related to Supply Chain Risk Management \(SCRM\) to prevent an adversary subverting weapon systems and critical networks\. Proficient SCRM incorporates sound security engineering and procurement solutions into an integrated program protection scheme based upon known or anticipated risks\. The candidate must have a solid understanding from an operational perspective, of limitations and impacts to the end user of the system and maintenance impacts of cybersecurity requirements\. The candidate must have Department of Defense Directive 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level 3 \(IAT II\); this certification must be maintained throughout the period of performance\.

+ DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level 2 \(IAT II\) required \(CISA, CISSP, CASP CE, GCIH, or GCED\)
+ The candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience\. A minimum of ten \(10\) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree\. Experience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to their functional area\.
