Robert Half Management Resources is the senior consulting arm of Robert Half and currently has consulting opportunities for experienced Controllers in the Dayton area. As a key member of the finance team, the Controller will provide financial leadership for the company and support fact-based decision-making across the organization. The Controller should possess exceptional attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills, and be a hands-on manager who takes ownership of the accounting strategy. The Controller will have also demonstrated the ability to develop and train a strong team of finance and accounting personnel that provide effective accounting, budget and cash management functions to facilitate the companys growth and profitability objectives. The Controller will: *Ensure appropriate systems are available to maintain financial controls and accurately report performance. Deliver effective reporting of financial condition, results of operations, and cash flow. Execute timely closings of each monthly financial period. *Ensure that audits are uneventful, contain no surprises and are completed in a cost effective manner. *Provide leadership and direction to ensure accurate accounting systems and financial controls are in place. Ensure these systems align with the strategic business plans, company growth opportunities, and market opportunities and direction. *Develop and implement appropriate balance sheet forecasting to ensure compliance with current and future debt covenants and identify and mitigate potential compliance issues. Work closely and effectively with the CFO as needed. *Ensure compliance with U.S. and international GAAP and all State/Federal regulations with respect to financial management and reporting. The Controller will be a talented and operationally-oriented individual who is experienced and agile and who is constantly looking to improve the business with a balance of superior financial and managerial skills. *Requirements:* Requirements: **5+ years of finance and accounting experience. **Experience working with auditors is desirable. **An undergraduate degree in accounting is required; CPA licensure is strongly preferred. **Proven ability to identify and prioritize necessary improvements in financial processes and systems, developing achievable plans and then executing. **Completely fluent in all financial domains, including accounting, control, audit, and risk management. Must possess a strong understanding of the numbers to develop and maintain trust with senior management and other members of the team. **Hands on experience developing and implementing internal controls with an eye toward keeping costs in line with expectations. **Experience in a consulting or other professional services business is preferred, but not required.
