ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times, set example for immediate and hotel wide staff. 2. Associate must have a minimum of 3 years MARSHA and PMS system experience and be well versed in using both systems to maintain overall hotel inventory. 3. Handle all suite reservations internally including blocking rooms in CI/TY, MARSHA and PMS, quoting pricing and managing availability of suites. 4. Partner with Sales / Event Managers to communicate group pick up, rooming lists, and cut-off date information to / for meeting planners. 5. Proficient in CI/TY after training program is complete 6. Monitor and analyze Rooms Inventory utilizing Yield Management to maximize occupancy and increase average rate. This includes monitoring of group blocks, determining cut off dates, and adhering to rate restrictions. 7. Process and handle all aspects of group room blocks at the hotel including: building group blocks in MARSHA, inputting group rooming lists, adhering to group cut-off date, pre-blocking and assigning of room types, and manage all changes made within room blocks. 8. Input of reservations for key clients, direct bill and special billing. 9. Maintain and pre-block all Group VIP reservations prior to arrival at the hotel in both MARSHA and PMS. 10. Input and manages group inventory in MARSHA 11. Handle special transient reservations involving credit card authorizations 12. Knowledge of front desk check-in, check-out and overall front desk processes. 13. Build new special corporate rates in PMS when requested by Revenue Manager 14. Involvement in community activities and hotel programs. 15. Effectively manage bed type inventory within CI/TY, MARSHA and PMS. 16. Clear understanding of all selling strategies set by Revenue Manager to ensure revenue maximization. 17. Daily process to review group no shows, communicate to Sales / Events Managers to review with meeting planners to understand if reservations should be reinstated by noon. 18. Active participation in weekly sales strategy meetings to further understand forecast and revenue strategies. 19. Manage Ques throughout weekdays (8am – 5pm) to ensure PMS and MARSHA are accurate. 20. Responsible for knowing respective hotels emergency procedures. 21. Carry out reasonable request by Management that you are capable of performing. 22. Assist other Concord Hotels when required. 23. Represent Concord Hospitality and the hotel in a professional manner at all times. 24. Comply with company policies and procedures. 25. Knowledgeable of occupancy, average rate and RevPar goals.
