**Technical Product Manager, Research Products**

**Description**

The Technical Product Manager will be market focused, drive the product vision and ensure the product meets the market needs. This person will lead complex, multi-disciplinary technology initiatives using their engineering and business domain expertise. This person will also need to understand the company’s technology at a deep level and interface with the Development Team in order to successfully lead the strategy for the product. This role will follow product management best practices (Pragmatic Marketing), meeting with existing and potential customers, articulates and quantifies market problems, defines and monitors standard procedures for product delivery and launch, assists with the product roadmap, writes product requirements/user stories and user scenarios, supports the creation of collateral and sales tools by Marketing Communications, and assists Product Marketing and Sales Enablement Units with the training of the sales teams on the market and product.

**Main Activities and Responsibilities**

**_End-to-end Product Management, emphasis on tactical duties_**

* Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering and Marketing Communications) through concept, story creation, and positioning.

* Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities for EV User Experience (User Interface, Analytical Tools and API/Integration options)

* Market Definition: Classify and Map needs with market and analyze market segments to pursue, ensuring that the target markets are large enough to support current and future products.

* Specify market requirements for current and future product development by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.

* Technology assessment: Investigate different technologies inside and outside and see how they may be applied to solving customer problems

* Competitive Analysis: must identify traditional and new competition, assess their strengths and weakness…

* Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan for your areas of responsibility in collaboration with all departments required to execute.

* Creates and delivers projects on schedule and within budget, and according to quality standards and acceptance criteria.

* Manage day-to-day operational aspects of product management, including the creation of concept documents and functional specifications or user stories.

* Assisting Director of Product Management with Business Case Development

* Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables through creation of KPIs/KPOs for your areas of the portfolio

* Ability to work within an Agile team using Scrum

* Road mapping: produces appropriate versions of Roadmaps that are fit different internal and external audiences, from Development, Marketing and Sales/ Customers

* Participates at industry conferences

* Manage relationships and keep project stakeholders accurately and regularly informed of the status throughout development. Ensures stakeholder requirements from across the business are accurately captured.

* Clearly communicate project plans which are agreed to and adhered to.

* Provide project reporting to Director of Product Management, based on agreed criteria, format and contents.

* Creativity, flexibility and an ability to manage and reset priorities in a rapidly changing environment is desired.

**_Product Management Training and Development_**

* Stay current on product management methodology and tools.

* Review, assess, and suggest useful and effective product management methodologies, processes, standards and tools.

* Maintain/Gain certifications/credentials

* Share product management competencies with AGRM product management colleagues.

**Qualifications**

**_Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experiences_**

+ BA/BS in Computer Science, MBA or equivalent preferred.

+ Working knowledge of one or more of the following: software development life cycles (agile, scrum, etc.), web technologies, web development processes, print publishing.

+ 2 years of software marketing/product management experience/ project management experience.

+ Knowledgeable in technology.

+ 4 years of software development experience

+ Experience and knowledge of emerging research markets desired.

+ Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory

+ This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites around the world (15-20%)
