Key Role:
Serve as a systems engineer supporting an Air Force client. Assist with the migration of onsite virtual infrastructure to a PAAS, Data Center, and Cloud infrastructure. Assist with packaging and deployment of Web applications and services to Linux servers, including the creation of RPMs, Puppet modules, and SELinux policies. Coordinate system upgrades and configuration changes with developers. Establish and follow procedures for backup and recovery of software and data. Maintain software development and test environments ensuring availability and integrity of servers. This position is located in Dayton, OH.
Basic Qualifications:
-4 years of experience with Linux administration
-4 years of experience with at least one scripting language
-Experience with Web and application server administration
-Knowledge of IP networks, including DNS or routing
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Apache and Tomcat preferred
-Experience with BASH and Python preferred
-Experience in Big Data and Data Center Operating Systems, including Apache Mesos
-Experience with agency security accreditation process
-Experience with Java development and tools, including Maven, Gradle, Junit, or SLF4J
-Experience with network security, including Access and authorization, including PKI, chain trusting, and CAS Threat model development Vulnerability assessments -Experience with Software Defined Networks and Project Calico
-Experience in testing with Selenium
-Experience with Web development in JavaScript, JSON REST, and Web architecture HTTP specification
-Experience with NoSQL databases, including Cassandra or ArrangoDB
-Experience with the Agile development process
-Knowledge of Apache Mesos frameworks, including Chronos, Marathon, Ansible, HAProxy, Mesos-DNS, or Docker
-Knowledge of Kanban, Safe, Jira, Redmine, or Git
-BA or BS degree in CS or an IT field
