**Content Manager - State Practice/Jurisdictions**

LexisNexis, a leader in legal publishing, seeks a recently practicing attorney with at least 5 years of experience in one of the following areas: Family Law, Trusts and Estates, State Litigation or Personal Injury, with related state court litigation practice in those areas to join an exciting new division to help draft content and develop online legal products, tools and solutions for attorneys. Recent, first-hand knowledge of the legal market, the practice tools and service needs of practitioners, as well as the legal process and associated workflow to help inform content development and strategic direction, is required. This role combines the experience of a former practicing attorney with product development and marketing as the person in this role will develop content for online legal products.

As the Content Manager - State Practice/Jurisdictions your roles and responsibilities will include the following:

* Develop, edit and/or write practical guidance on how to conduct tasks and analyze issues relevant to one or more of the following practice areas: Family Law, Trusts and Estates, or Personal Injury.

* Draft, review, and annotate relevant form documents and checklists.

* Manage internal editors and external authors to ensure timely delivery of content.

* Help deliver a compelling and all-purpose practical guidance legal product offering across targeted markets as a member of a multi-disciplined team of content developers, product planners, IT specialists, external consultants, and marketing and sales reps.

* Make recommendations concerning overall content strategy and expansion.

* Monitor Family Law, Trusts and Estates, State Litigation or Personal Injury practice areas for trends/news.

* Recruit expert authors and contributors to produce content for product.

* Assist in delivering customer facing messaging/marketing, sales, and customer training/customer service.

* Identify, develop and enhance expert content necessary to the product offering.

* Support and assist with the management of expert authors and contractors contributing content to the product offering to ensure timely delivery of content.

* Assist in the design of the product offering, customer interface application, customer facing messaging/marketing, sales and customer training/service.

* Develop content and work product that support the concepts and strategy of practical and analytical products from a customer perspective obtained via customer engagement.

* Recruit external authors and contributors to produce content for product.

* Assists with efficient and effective responses to customer and sales inquiries received.

**Qualifications**

Basic Qualifications:

* Law degree from an accredited law school

* 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney in one or more of the following areas with related state court litigation experience: Family Law, Trusts and Estates, State Litigation or Personal Injury preferred. Comparable publishing experience will be considered.

* Excellent writing, editing, and online legal research skills

* Comfortable working in Microsoft Word, Excel, and in conducting online research

* Strong practical writer/editor

* Ability to work independently and with a team

* Must be organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

* Experience with editing, presenting CLEs, and/or drafting client alerts is a plus
