**Role Summary:**

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Seasoned and deep understanding of concepts, approaches and methodology used. Deep expertise on the level of a technological field. Weld Engineering process owner with Leadership skills along with Manufacturing equipment/system installation experience and ability to deal with various certifying agencies.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

In addition you will :

+ Provide Welding technical support to 5 Dayton sites and multiple off shore sites (travel to off shore sites 3 - 6 times per year)

+ Responsible for managing all site weld audits

+ Responsible for all site weld test audits (200 plus welders) and maintain weld training school (10 plus students at any given time)

+ Selecting procuring implementing all weld related equipment. (Laser machines, Robotic Tig Welders, Auto welders, Boroscope equipment)

+ Maintaining all site Weld Certifications. (NADCAP, AWI, etc)

+ Define and control production process including tooling and equipment

+ Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment

+ Includes Manufacturing Engineers

+ Is considered a senior and seasoned practitioner

+ Works on complex technological solutions

+ Solving issues and developing new solutions require usage of methods and approaches with some precedence

+ Has authority in the network of experts and in project teams

+ Presents product / program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders (EB and SEB) across GE

+ Inputs and influences decisions within own discipline and area

+ Communicates recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations

+ Involved in complex decision making sometimes with external parties **Qualifications/Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent

+ Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment **Desired Characteristics:**

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

+ Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects

+ Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
