**Position Summary:**
**Summary**
The Director of Sourcing performs a critical role in delivering the Taylor Communications Strategic Sourcing & Procurement transformation plan. The Director will develop and lead a team of experts focused on managing supply of finished goods for resale.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Identification of business needs and support of key business solutions and internal / external customer initiatives throughout the product development and supply management lifecycles.
* Development and execution of sourcing strategies that deliver comprehensive spend and expense management, revenue and gross margin improvement, supply base rightsizing, enhanced product quality and innovation, and reduction of risk.
* Ensure finished goods demand is fulfilled in a timely manner and drive efficient throughput on transactions performed in the procurement of finished goods for resale.
* Maintain high levels of transparency and frequent communication with internal stakeholders through regular interaction, dashboards, scorecards, and other reporting mechanisms.
* Develop policy, streamline processes, and integrate sourcing and procurement systems utilized throughout the organization.
* Perform full range of managerial responsibilities including recruiting, employee performance management, talent development, strategic planning, and budget management.
**Minimum Qualifications**
* Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
* 10+ years of experience in Global Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management in a fast-paced operations or production environment.
* 5+ years of supervisory experience and department administration, including staff development and budget management.
* Ability to organize and lead dynamic projects with multiple stakeholders.
* Track record of successfully negotiating major contracts, achieving of value creation objectives, and managing supplier performance.
* Enterprise thinking and customer-centric mindset that enables an understanding of core business requirements and system interfaces through which business is conducted.
* Comfortable operating at all levels of management internally and externally.
* Successful management of cross-functional relationships throughout the supply chain.
* Efficient and effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with the functionality and workflow associated with sourcing, procurement, and supply management applications and ordering systems.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master of Science or Master of Business Administration degree.
* Experience in consulting, operations, program management, business process engineering, or technology
* Expertise in paper, printed materials, labels, promotional items, capital equipment, tooling, information technology, and professional services categories.
* Working knowledge and expertise in specific sourcing and procurement systems such as Oracle, Netsource, and Commercial Print Exchange (CPX).
* Previous leadership of or participation in a sourcing and procurement transformation.
* Experience managing Supplier Diversity programs.
* Lean or Six Sigma certification.
* CPSM or APICS certification.
* PMP or other project management / IT certification.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
