**12137: Instructional Systems Designer/Instructor \(Senior\)**

**Description:**
This position will support AFIT in setting the grounds for rapid development and delivery of weapon system cybersecurity education in response to urgent needs from SAF/AQ, AFMC/CC, and other communities across the AF\. It leads the way for innovative cyber education to anticipate needs, develop course content, and prototype courses\. The intent is to provide short term capability to take vague and/or nascent educational requirements, quickly develop/deliver educational modules, and iterate rapidly\. This will result in much\-needed education modules that will meet immediate and emerging educational needs while long term, sustainable solutions are developed via standard Air Force education and training processes\. The capability will be managed under the Air Force Cyberspace Technical Center of Excellence \(AF CyTCoE\) at AFIT\.
The Instructional Systems Designer will translate education requirements and curricula into an instructional framework and delivery that is conducive to quality education for optimal retention by students\. The Instructional Systems Designer will instruct on course content in various settings to include traditional classroom settings and distance learning\. The Instructional Systems Designer will be required to travel to different sites to instruct\. The Instructional Systems Designer will provide educational technology expertise to the faculty with asynchronous curricula content design, development, and execution\. He/she will manage all technical aspects of eLearning projects for the entire life cycle of the product\. The Instructional Systems Designer will provide expertise for curriculum development to create robust in\-residence and distance learning products\. The Instructional Systems Designer will also develop blended courses and will provide technical assistance to faculty in the conversion of lesson content\. The Instructional Systems Designer will develop instructional simulations, web content, advanced instructional media, and blended learning solutions\. The Instructional Systems Designer will coordinate software updates and installs, maintain software license listings, and prepare for internal audits\.
**Requirements:**
Minimum Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
+ Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design or related discipline\.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Office Suite Software applications, instructional system design, and education methodologies
+ Familiarity with software systems such as Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, JavaScript, HTML, or equivalent software programs\.
+ Possess the ability to communicate clearly and expertly \(in English\) in both verbal and written forms concerning administrative subject matters\.
Desired qualifications:
+ Knowledge of and experience with security in cyber\-physical and embedded systems
+ Experience in SCORM formatting
