*Description:*

Leidos has an opening for a Behavioral Scientist in our Dayton/Beavercreek, OH offices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must have experience in deriving human performance requirements and enabling capabilities in complex systems; particularly in the human factors engineering, training, and manning domains. Experience also is required in designing and developing innovative human-system solutions and assessing their effectiveness via live and/or simulation based-testing. Understanding the system and software engineering processes and the ability to participate on multi-disciplinary teams that create and test solutions is expected.

Candidate will need to be able to:

- Refine methods for identifying and quantifying knowledge, skill, and experience required for mission success

- Develop performance metrics

- Evaluate training performance gaps and recommend/develop novel and enhanced training methods

- Measure mission execution effectiveness

- Scenario development

Successful candidate will have the ability to interact with customers and ensure requirements are understood and realistic, satisfactory outcome expectations are established is critical. Demonstrated experimental design, metric development, data collection and analysis, and data visualization skills are required.

*Qualifications:*

To be considered for this position, candidate must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

- Must have a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience.

- Educational backgrounds in Cognitive Psychology, Behavior Analysis,

Human Factors, or Educational Psychology.

- Educational focus & courses in relevant technical areas to include:

- Research design, experimental psychology, statistics, quantitative methods,

user analysis, user centered design, survey and questionnaire development

qualitative and quantitative methods and analysis

- Must possess exceptional leadership, written and oral communication skills.

- Must be able to work successfully with a diverse and dynamic team of both operational and technical personnel, collaborate with team members, work independently, and take own initiative.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.

- Must be eligible to obtain a DoD government clearance at the level of Secret and Top Secret.

Preferred Qualifications (Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration)

- Experience within the human performance and effectiveness field.

- Secret security clearance.

- Specific knowledge of human performance requirements and issues in intelligence and/or command and control systems is desired.
