Master's Degree Communication skills Customer service skills Ohio Social Work License Through psychosocial assessment and intervention strategies, is responsible for assisting patients and their families in understanding and learning to cope with illness and disability. Assists families in resolving complex personal and environmental difficulties which interfere with effective social functioning and obtaining maximum benefit from medical care. Participates as a professional team member in patient care planning along with other hospital and community agency personnel. Provides education/consultation to health care professionals and the community regarding the impact of psychosocial factors. Responsible for the delivery of social work services which are available to the patient, the patient's family, and other persons significant to the patient, are well organized and directed, and integrated with other units and departments of the hospital/community. This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital. Required: Master's degree in social work and license through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
