Exciting leadership opportunity in KEYW’s Sensors and Processing Systems Division leading the capture and operational management of our customer’s indoor and outdoor range. This position will propose, staff, and operate a team of approximately 8-12 direct reports to ensuring indoor and outdoor range operational readiness and measurement execution across a diverse spectrum of developmental and production programs. The Radio Frequency (RF) test products include radomes and passive and active antennas (such as Active Electronic Scanned Arrays) with applications for radar, communication and electronic warfare systems.  You are responsible for capturing, leading, designing, directing, and executing Air Force radar test programs and test events at ranges and during airborne exercises for next-generation radar and multi-INT RF systems.

This position requires passion for innovative RF engineering and signal processing, with strong technical leadership skills.  The ideal candidate also shares our vision for next-generation RF systems and contributes to the design and implementation of future KEYW radar hardware, software, and processing prototypes and products.

*Required Skills:*
• 10+ years related work experience; 3+ years with direct leadership
• Must have strong leadership, management, and communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers and work well in a team
• Proven leader with 3+ years of direct functional management experience and ability to quickly gather data, identify root cause factors and drive for closure
• Experience writing and reviewing proposals and leading capture teams
• Experience in developing, building, fielding, and maintaining radar hardware, software, and test equipment
• Broad working knowledge of indoor and outdoor ranges of varying types (anechoic, compact, tapered, near-field, etc.) and material characterization (bi-static reflection arch, focused beam, etc.)
• Solid understanding and experience in RF measurement hardware and software used in antenna, Radar Cross Section (RCS) and microwave product material characterization
• Familiarity with standard and advanced radar laboratory and range instrumentation, including range radars, RCS measurements, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, time domain reflectometers, etc.
• Familiarity with Computational Electromagnetics (CEM) and radar target modeling and simulation; hands-on experience developing target/predictions is a plus.
• Must be willing to Travel to support radar systems; Travel is typically less than 5%
• Must be able to leverage emerging technology and apply it in innovative ways to quickly solve unique, complex operational problems
• Knowledge and experience with calibration methods and measurement techniques used in antenna, RCS, and material characterization
• Awareness and appreciation for proactive maintenance of measurement facilities through 5S organization and preventative maintenance
• Experience assisting proposal efforts, engineering reviews, and program / customer reviews
• Ability to provide staffing support to program teams through matrix organization
• Experience in range data acquisition and processing tools
• Experience leading projects including developing integrated master schedule, establishing and tracking budgets, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to market capabilities and to build interest and gain advocacy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

*Additional Desired Skills:*
• Hands-on experience with Xpatch is a plus
• Knowledge of Conformal Arrays, Structurally Integrated design, MIMO, Multi-Statics, Tomographic Sensing, Waveform Diversity, Knowledge Aided design, Open Standards, Model-Based design, Signal-level Simulation, and RF Simulation Tools
• Understand the design considerations for the following problem sets: Detecting difficult targets, Detecting targets in difficult environments, overcoming interference, adapting to loss of frequency spectrum, supporting acquisition and refresh of RF systems
• Experience with Geodesic Dome Phased Array Antennas
• Experience with Digital Beam-forming
• Experience developing a high tech workforce
• Experience with Difficult Target Signature Discovery and Exploitation
• Experience with Techniques for Contested Environments
• Experience performing sensor exploitation algorithm development and testing
• Understanding of Low Observables and High Value Targets
• Understanding of Active & Passive sensing
• Experience performing Phenomenology Experiments
Degree: BS or MS in EE, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Physics or Math with emphasis in Radar, Imagery, or Signals Processing, or a related field. Master’s degree desired.

*Clearance:*

Must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance. A Top Secret/SCI security clearance is highly desired but not required initially. An initial SECRET clearance is highly desired. If necessary, Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
