**12878: Embedded Software Engineer**

Clearance: TS/SCI
**Description:**
Provide the engineering support required for the reverse engineering of embedded software\. Prospective candidate must be able to work well in a team environment and independently under general supervision\.
**Requirements:**
+ Perform reverse engineering of embedded software in one or more of the following operating system environments: UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks, or other vendor\-proprietary operating systems\.
+ Hands\-on experience with software development and trouble shooting of embedded targets\(microcontrollers, processors, DSP\) with preemptive, multitasking real\-time operating systems\.
+ Knowledge with Texas Instruments C5xxx and C6xxx DSP processors and Texas Instruments Code Composer Studio is desirable\.
+ Experienced in high\-performance, embedded real\-time design on RTOS and DSPs\. Knowing TI multi\-core DSPs and/or Freescale multi\-core DSPs is a plus\.
+ Ability to design, code, integrate, document and verify embedded microprocessor programs
+ Solid programming experience in C/ C\+\+ for embedded systems, and Assembly language
+ Experience with Software debuggers
+ Experience with decompilers, dissasemblers, and software reverse engineering tools such as IDAPro is a plus\.
+ Knowledgeable with software encryption/decryption tools and techniques a plus
+ Understanding of various hardware interfaces and communication protocols such as RS\-232/442/485, IEEE\-488/GPIB, 1553, USB, and Ethernet/TCP/IP
+ Experience with test equipment \(logic analyzers, oscilloscopes\) and be able to find your way around the digital aspects of schematics\.
+ Test plan development, data reduction and analysis, and preparation of technical reports\.
**Required Education:**
+ Prospective candidates should have a Bachelors' degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science, with 5\-15 years of directly related experience\. Master's degree is a plus\.
**Security Clearance:**
+ DoD Secret clearance to start; DoD TS/SCI clearance ultimately required
