JOB DESCRIPTION:
The OPIR Engineer serves as an OPIR Subject matter expert (SME).
Duties include:
- Attends community related OPIR workshops, working groups, meetings and conferences.
- Collaborate with Navy and NGS representatives.
- Develop/refine the US Navy CONOPS for OPIR.
- Participate in tests, demonstrations, proof of concept exercises and experiments.
- Validate the utility of Maritime Capabilities Initiative (MARCI) produced spectral and advances geospatial products on how MARCI can fulfill Maritime intelligence gaps for Maritime Domain Awareness.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Develop OPIR related GEOINT exploitation techniques, methodology and procedures related to ONI and Navy missions.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Train analyst on each exploitation techniques and methodology developed and the Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (TCPED) process
- Test and validate the utility of the Maritime Overhead Nighttime Surveillance, Tracking, Exploitation & Reporting (MONSTER) effort.
*Qualifications:*
Requirements:
- TS/SCI eligibility
- 2 years of experience using OPIR systems; Palette (OPIR exploitation software tool), COBRA BRASS data and products (SEARCHLIGHTS, SCARSEARCH), Web-based IR data for Ops and War fighters (WINDOW)
- 1 year of practical experience working with ArcGIS 1 year of experience writing technical products, reports, and briefs Familiarity with OPIR tasking and requirements tool – GEOINT Information Management System (GIMS)
