Job Description:
Boards of Directors and executive management recognize the ever increasing importance of effective risk management efforts in meeting their organization's strategic objectives. PwC's Risk Assurance practice has developed a holistic approach to risk that protects businesses, facilitates strategic decision making and enhances efficiency. Our holistic approach is complimented by the extensive risk and controls technical knowledge and sector-specific experience our Risk Assurance professionals possess. The end result is a risk solution that is tailored to meet the unique needs of a company. Areas where our Risk Assurance practice can bring value to an organization include: - Leveraging industry and technical expertise to assist management to address more effectively risks associated with their business - Assisting management in the assessment of project risks and controls - Enhancing internal audit functions to further align to company strategy and risk - Reducing company costs through strategic internal audit outsourcing and co-sourcing solutions - Increasing value and reducing costs of compliance-related activities - Identifying opportunities for companies to effectively mitigate risk and improve business performance - Applying the concepts of Enterprise Risk Management to help companies identify, assess, mitigate and proactively consider emerging risks Supports the R_Q Monitoring Leader with the review of risk management policy and risk and quality initiatives with a national focus. Participates in Risk Assurance cross-LOS risk and quality initiatives. Also participates in development and execution of risk and quality monitoring programs; development and execution of the annual risk and quality monitoring plan, related budgeting and resource allocation.
Position/Program Requirements:
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 5
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates proven extensive knowledge of audit-focused risk management and quality initiatives for the Assurance Risk and Quality function of a global network of professional services consulting firm, emphasizing the following areas:
- Leading or facilitating relevant project management or discussions in the area of non-audit services risk management; and,
- Understanding various Risk Assurance service offerings and structure of the Risk Assurance practice within the firm.
Prior success in roles within a Risk Assurance-related function are preferred.
Skills Preferred:
Demonstrates proven extensive skills, abilities, and success in roles managing audit-focused risk management and quality areas for a global network of professional consulting firms, emphasizing the following areas:
- Analyzing and applying Risk Assurance Risk Management Policies, especially pertaining to the engagement lifecycle and related policies and processes;
- Leading project management efforts, owning the development, implementation and ongoing oversight of multiple programs and initiatives using firm-issued and/proprietary technologies, and balancing resources across projects and resolving problems, as needed;
- Developing and managing a staff, taking action based on understanding current and future needs of the organization and/or unit;
- Developing and delivering communications and presentations, leveraging the Microsoft Office Suite, along with an orientation toward detail and listening to work effectively with firm leaders--Partners, MDs, Directors--and other engagement team members to coordinate, follow-up on, and complete engagement compliance and/or in-flight reviews; and,
- Performing independently and collaborating with a network of business and internal operational professionals toward the quality completion of projects while keeping supervisors apprised of progress.
