**Description**
Senior Software Engineer
The IT Senior Software Engineer position requires strong technical skills and the ability to understand business requirements. You will analyze, design, modify, encode, test, debug and install software applications utilized across the business to achieve targeted business goals and provide superior service to Teradata internal and/or external customers.
In this role, depending on your specific project assignment, you may have the opportunity to do the following:
* Work closely with subject matter experts to gather business requirements
* Work with high performance event collection platform software, that integrates with our front end marketing sites.
* Configure and monitor collection sites for optimal performance.
* Work on Linux based systems that utilize Java based apps.
* Design and develop device/browser agnostic applications to support sales automation programs
* Integrate third party software solutions into existing Teradata applications and services infrastructure
* Architect and implement modern cloud based solutions for use by internal and/or external Teradata customers

**Qualifications**
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related technical discipline
* At least 3 years experience developing and supporting enterprise level systems
* Proficiency in core development methodology and programming skills (Java/J2EE, C#, VB.net, ASP.net, )
* Knowledge of Software Development Life-Cycle, Software CMM & application support processes
* Knowledge of web server configuration software like Apache and IIS
* Understanding of Java JVM

Preferred Qualifications:
* Linux experience a plus. Working knowledge of shell scripting and configuration.
* Good testing skills and knowledge of various testing methodologies
* Experience with RESTful API, JSON, Java/Script, JQuery, .NET, Bootstrap, SQL
* Integration experience with source code repositories (Subversion)
