Sample Processing Technician – Dayton, OH
Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking a Nerve Processing Technician for one of our top clients in Dayton, OH. This is a temp-to-hire position requiring flexibility in schedule, Monday-Friday (occasional weekends), must be available to work either 8am-4:30pm or 4pm-11:30pm, as needed.
As a Nerve Processing Technician placed with Kelly Scientific Resources, you will perform debridement and processing, packaging and labeling of human tissue products for surgical transplantation while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and AATB regulations.
The selected candidate will work in a cleanroom environment which will require employees to wear personal protective equipment (i.e. gloves, gowns, eye protection, bouffant, shoe covers and masks. Scrubs are provided).
Additional Job Responsibilities:
Perform processing, debridement, packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished product. Fine motor skills and keen eyesight required.
Utilize special techniques, instrumentation and equipment to clean and size tissue to specifications and protocols.
Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize responsibilities for the each day of the process.
Assist with efforts in maintaining inventory levels for receiving supplies.
Perform lab cleaning activities as required by policies, protocols, procedures and SOPs.
Correctly complete production documentation as required in Nerve processing in accordance with standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
Assist with production records as needed.
Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Job Requirements:
Associate degree preferred but not required.
Experience or background in biology or medical lab environment.
Must be willing to work with human tissue
Good hand/eye coordination; dexterity skills are a MUST.
Must have thorough attention to detail
Able to perform repetitive tasks while standing on feet for a long period
Knowledge of following SOPs in a sterile environment and practicing aseptic techniques
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to learn things quickly.
