We'll be having fun and partying DIY all week as part of Sara of Confetti Sunshine's A Handmade Holiday Party Hop. She brought a group of creative party-loving bloggers to collaborate together and make one fabulous party full of DIY and inspirational party goodness!

Day 1 was DIY Gift Wrapping & Holiday Banners, day 2 was DIY Ornaments, and today is Day 3, DIY Party Decorations that includes my contribution, ornament party drinks!

A few years ago for my Gift Wrapping Christmas party, I used new glass ornaments as drink bottles.  The sticky wicket that I didn't think about was guests couldn't couldn't set them down when they were done drinking.  Ever since, I've been trying to figure out a way to make them more user-friendly.

Finally, I came across the solution...wood carbone rings. I have no idea what they are for, but I found them in the knitting/crocheting section of my craft store. So, I'm assuming they are for knitting/crocheting.  A standard sized ornament will sit perfectly in one. This is so easy to do, you will be running out and making a few for your party.

1. Glittah up your carbone rings.

2. Glue them to your plastic ornaments. Any liquid adhesive works, but no hot glue...'cuz you may melt your ornament.

3. When dry, fill with a COLD beverage of your choice and add the jumbo straw.  Again, plastic + heat = sad face. Plus, how are they going to hold them without burning their fingers?

See? Told you they were easy.  For more fun DIY party decorations, hop on over and visit my fellow bloggers for their how-tos....
