Hello and welcome back for Day 2 of the Papertrey Countdown! I'm so glad you've stopped back by....I've got lots more to show you today! As promised yesterday, I've got lots more Holiday Greens and Holiday Greens Borders projects to show you as well as several peeks at my new Ombré Sentiments: Christmas stamp set, which is a follow-up to my Ombré Sentiments: Birthday set. The fun thing about the Ombré Sentiments sets is that you can add ombré colors to the stamp to add to the ombré look, or you can let the stamps do a bit of the work for you, thanks to their graduated type sizes on the fonts! Stamp them all in one color and you're set!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on September 15 at 10pm EST.
This first card kinda makes me smile just for the sheer volume of Holiday Greens die cuts I piled on it! Haha. I couldn't resist creating one giant spray of greens and berries and pinecones....so fun! The sentiment is one from Ombré Sentiments: Christmas and I stamped it in a bit of an ombré color palette from pure poppy to scarlet jewel. The misti stamping tool made that very easy!
Next up is more Holiday Greens die cuts, this time all in the same colors. I die cut all of the branches from aqua mist card stock and stamped them all with the new Olive Twist ink color.
The background was watercolored with some Zig markers and a water brush and when that was dry, I used more Olive Twist to stamp the sentiment from Ombré Sentiments: Christmas. I also went over all of the branches with a Wink of Stella glitter pen to add some shimmer because it's just not Christmas without a little shimma-shimma! Haha. You can see the sparkle a bit better, toward the top of the photo.
So this card shows you how pretty it can be when you add ombré colors to the sentiments from Ombré Sentiments: Christmas. I used my misti stamping tool, and inked the middle portion of the sentiment with pure poppy ink. Then, I added raspberry fizz at the top and scarlet jewel at the bottom, and then stamped it. To get really deep colors and to really get things blended beautifully, I just repeated that once or twice more.
Along the top of the card, I added a border stamp from Holiday Greens Borders and then finished things off with several Holiday Greens die cuts.
I also used the misti to stamp multiple gift tags at once, using the new Holiday Greens Borders stamps! Simply put two tags side by side in the misti and stamp one of the border stamps across both of them at the same time! Easy peasy! Both the hawaiian shores border at the top and the berries border at the bottom, are from Holiday Greens Borders! The berries image is actually two separate stamps, so you can stamp the stems and berries in different colors.
I also added a couple of the fun little sentiments included in Holiday Greens Borders.....these little sentiments are especially fun for gift tags, I think.
I made these tags double layered, so on the back tag, I stamped more sentiments from Ombré Sentiments: Christmas as well as the to/from from Holiday Greens Borders.
One more for today......this one gives you a tiny peek at my Vintage Ornaments II stamp set, which I'll be showing you lots more of later in the week! But I couldn't resist using one of those ornaments to house the Happy Holidays sentiment from Ombré Sentiments: Christmas!
I also die cut and stamped a couple additional ornaments to finish off that focal point, and then "hung them" from one of the Holiday Greens Borders branches.
I did a bit more ink blending on the berries border -- that is seriously so fun -- and stamped the stems in the new Olive Twist.
