Hi there! It is nearly here......tomorrow is Stamp-a-Faire day at Papertrey Ink! This is our annual online creative event and there are tons of fun things in store for you tomorrow!! And tonight, we officially kicking things off at 7pm, with a fun meet-and-greet over at Nichole's blog, that you won't want to miss! As always, there will be a ton of prizes up for grabs, and there's even one tonight, so keep an eye out for that, so you can get entered to win! Who doesn't love free money to spend at Papertrey?!! Now that you know how to get this set for yourself, how about if I show you a couple cards I made with it?
This set lets you create these pretty little floral sprays that you can use in a variety of ways, and because they're multi-step stamps, it allows for some really fun color layering. I started by stamping one of the sentiments from the set, with smokey shadow ink and then stamped flowers above and below.
I used a doily details die, to cut out a single berry sorbet doily and then cut it in half, using half at the top of the card and half at the bottom. I haven't used those dies in a long time, so it was fun to pull them out again.....they really do add so much detail to a project! I also added a couple of gray strips of patterned paper from the Floral Sketches paper collection, and topped that with a pure poppy button threaded with some true black baker's twine.
And of course, I couldn't stop with just one card, so I made another quick and easy card using an aqua and green color palette.
This is another sentiment from the set, and I had fun layering up the greens and aquas in different ways to create some variety.
I used the heart border die, to add the strip of scalloped hawaiian shores card stock at the bottom of the card, and layered it all on a piece of Floral Sketches patterned paper that was adhered to a green parakeet card base. And do you see those sweet little tropical teal flowers on the gray background layer? Those are a part of the patterned paper and were a perfect match for the focal panel I created! So fun!
