Hi there!

Welcome to the kickoff of the Papertrey 9th Anniversary festivities!

I can’t believe we’re celebrating our 9th anniversary and I’ve been with Papertrey for 8 of those celebrations!  I joined the design team in July of 2008 and released my first stamp set (Damask Designs) in February, 2009, as part of the anniversary festivities that year!  I’ve so enjoyed working with Papertrey and have been so grateful to be able to do what I love every day, as my job.  What a blessing!  And what a thrill to see products I’ve designed, come to life and be used to create things that make people happy!  I love that!  I’ve also been so blessed, over the years, by the friendships I’ve made with the other girls on the team.  They’re all so kind, supportive and encouraging.  Each designer always seems to do everything she can to help each other.  Sometimes that might just come in the form of answering questions about how she achieved a certain look or what particular product she used or what settings she used on her camera, but I love that ultimately, these ladies are friends and they’re happy to share and help each other.  They’re dears, each one!  And of course, I can’t forget to mention our fearless leader, Nichole, who inspires us and shows us just what it means to run a business with kindness and grace.  I’m so grateful to be a part of this team and I’m excited about the year ahead!

So for today, Nichole asked each of us to share our favorite project from 2015 and then to make a new card, using that same color scheme!  Let me just say that when you make 25 or 30 cards each release, choosing ONE favorite from the whole YEAR is kinda tough!  Haha.  But here it is.....the one that topped them all for me.  :)

Here's the original post, in case you want to check it out.  I used raspberry fizz, pure poppy and scarlet jewel on the flowers, with each of them stamped on white card stock.  For my new card, I decided to use those colors in a different way, to get a different look -- but they're still the same colors!  I did that, by using raspberry fizz card stock this time, instead of ink....

The Bold Blossoms flowers were die cut from raspberry fizz card stock and were then stamped with pure poppy and scarlet jewel layers.  Same three colors, but you get a completely different look, just by swapping out card stock for ink.

The leaves were each inked with ripe avocado first and then I sponged tropical teal on the tips before stamping.

The sentiment is from the Scripted stamp set and that finished things off!

Be sure to visit Nichole Heady's blog each day this week, to see all of the anniversary announcements and to participate in the contests!  As usual, Papertrey is giving away a ton of prizes during this countdown, so you don't want to miss out!

See you tomorrow, friends!
