Hello there!

Welcome to Day 1 of the Papertrey October Countdown!!  This month is gonna be HUGE, starting with today's post!  I have five stamp sets being released this month, four of which are being introduced on Nichole Heady's blog today!  Soooo.....I have a ton of projects to show you today, and I do mean a ton!  :)   This may be the longest post in the history of ever!  Haha!  That being said, let's get right to the projects!

All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.

First up, we'll start with Spruce & Sprigs, because I'm just so excited about it!  It's a set full of...well, spruce and sprigs.  Haha.  You can use them as the focal point or tuck them behind nearly any Christmas image you'd like.  And not only that, but some of them can really even be used year round, which is even better!  It's like a great leaf set, but with a wintery twist!  Prepare to see a lot of this set this week....I can't stop using it!

For the sentiments here, I used my new Enclosed: Wreath stamps and dies.  I snipped off the "Peace" from the frame die cut and stacked up three of them for a nice thick word.  Then, I stamped companion sentiments from the Enclosed: Wreath set, in new leaf ink.

OH, and did you notice that NEW COLOR?!!!  Nichole's blog will give you all the details on that little beauty!!!  Swoon......!

All of the images here, are from Spruce & Sprigs.  I created a mask out of sticky notes, to cover a few of the images, so I could stamp them in layers without them overlapping.  I used an ink blending tool to dab on the second color of ink, on the variegated images.

On the inside of the card, I stamped one of the sentiments from the new Tucked In: Holiday stamp set, as well as a few more leaves and sprigs.

This next card shows how you can take some of your existing flower images and pair them with Spruce & Sprigs to create a wintery cluster!  Here, I heat embossed some Vintage Linens flowers with gold embossing powder and then watercolored them with my Zig markers.  Then, I heat embossed several Spruce & Sprigs images as well as a sentiment from the set, all with more gold embossing powder.

I love how that gold embossing looks!

I used watercolor card stock for the flowers, and everything else was stamped on stamper's select white card stock.

Here are some tags featuring Spruce & Sprigs + more of the new Vintage Jadeite color, as well as some new plaid patterned papers by Betsy Veldman!  I love them!

I used the Tag Sale #5 die to cut out two layers for each tag.....a card stock layer and a patterned paper layer.  On the card stock layer, I stamped sentiments from my new Cup of Cheer stamp set and on the patterned paper layer, I added a few images from Spruce & Sprigs to each.

After the tags were all assembled, I added glossy accents to all the berries, large and small!  They're super shiny in real life!  FUN!

Again, the sentiments are from Cup of Cheer.  And speaking of Cup of Cheer.....

Allow me to introduce you!  Cup of Cheer features a large coffee pot, some small flowers/sprigs to decorate the images with, and several coffee/tea cup images that were inspired by my vintage Jadeite dishes, so of course, I had to include some of them in the photos this month.  You can see a couple of my mugs here.  And how fun that we get a new color this month, called Vintage Jadeite!  Perfect! :)

So, I did some ink blending on white card stock and then stamped a sentiment from Cup of Cheer, before adding some die cuts from the stamp set.  The little flowers and sprigs are also from the set, and allow you to decorate your little mugs and such, for the holiday season!

I heat embossed the little mug on this card, with clear embossing powder.

On the inside of the card, I added another new Tucked In: Holiday sentiment, as well as a little stack of mugs from Cup of Cheer, stamped in Vintage Jadeite ink!  I simply laid a piece of copy paper over the top edge of each mug, before stamping the next one at an angle, to create my little stack.

For this card, I wanted to create a little mug background and I have to say, I love how it turned out!  The mugs are all stamped with pure poppy and raspberry fizz inks and topped with either pure poppy or scarlet jewel flowers.

There's a new little strip of patterned paper here, that you might be excited about!  Nichole will have all the details on that today, as well!

I stamped the sentiment from Cup of Cheer, in scarlet jewel ink, on the kraft card base.

Man, those little mugs and teacups just make me smile!

Here is a tag set featuring more Cup of Cheer!  There is one large sentiment stamp, seen here, as well as several smaller ones included in the set.

For the "Holly Jolly" sentiments, I inked them in new leaf ink and then sponged on some tropical teal ink, with an ink blender.  Then, I just had fun piling on the images!

Each tag is a little bit different, but they were super quick and easy because I used the same color scheme.  Takes a lot of the guess-work out of it!

Oh, the above photo is just because they looked so cute sitting in my vintage jadeite teacup!  Haha.

And here's one popped on a gift.

Next up, let's talk about my new Joyful Christmas stamp set, which features bottle brush trees!  Use them to add to little scenes created with other images in your collection, or use them on their own like I've done here.

First, I did some ink blending with a Tim Holtz ink and then I heat embossed the trees with silver embossing powder and then stamped the bases in smokey shadow ink.

The little stars are two-step stamps that come in three sizes in the set (to coordinate with the three sizes of trees).  Here, I stamped the solid star off once, in pure poppy ink, before stamping it on the die cut.  And then the little shading image was stamped in full strength pure poppy ink.  The sentiment is also from Joyful Christmas.

Behind the focal panel, is another of Betsy's new plaid papers.

And of course, I have to show you some tags featuring those Joyful Christmas trees!  I used the Tag Sale #4 dies as well as the solid circle from Limitless Layers: 2-1/2" Circles and stamped a pair of trees and stars on each.  Like that Vintage Jadeite bitty dot paper?  Read all about it on Nichole's blog!  ;)

The sentiment on each, is also from Joyful Christmas.

To get the softer look on the tree stands, I stamped the smokey shadow ink off once, before stamping on the tags.

For this Joyful Christmas card, I stamped all of the stands in (stamped off) dark chocolate ink.  The trees themselves, were stamped in raspberry fizz and (stamped off) pure poppy!

I used Tombow mono-adhesive and some Martha Stewart glitter to add the sparkle to the trees.  Gives them a bit of a vintage feel.  The heart border die was used to add the scalloped strip along the bottom.

I added another tree on the inside of the card, as well as a Tucked In: Holiday sentiment.

Next up, let's talk about Enclosed: Wreath!  This wreath is stamped in just two impressions!  Simply line up the stamp with the outer points around the wreath die cut -- don't worry about anything else -- and the rest works itself out!   Haha!  Really, when I line this up, I just look at the outer points on the die cut and voila!  Perfect impression every time!  So easy!

I inked the wreath in ripe avocado ink and then dabbed on some tropical teal with an ink blending tool.  Lastly, I went back in and stamped the little berries in pure poppy ink.

Behind the wreath, I stamped two sentiments from the Enclosed: Wreath set and added some baker's twine at the top of the wreath to look like it's hanging.

The sentiment strip contains another of the companion sentiments from the set and below that is another of the new plaid papers!  It should be said that I can't stop using those papers either!

See.....told you I love them!  Used another one here!  Haha!

I stamped the wreath in dark chocolate stamped off once, to get a softer brown.  One great thing about this wreath, is that the bows from last month's Deck the Halls set are a perfect fit!  I used the smaller bow die here, on a piece of bitty dot paper, to cut out the bow!

The sentiments in the middle are both from Enclosed: Wreath.  The solid circle die from Limitless Layers: 2-1/2" Circles is a perfect fit to pop behind the wreath, for adding a different color of card stock.  I used it here, on the white layer.

Below the wreath is a new sentiment from Tucked In: Holiday.

And lastly, we of course have to have some tags using Enclosed: Wreath!  I die cut the wreath layer from white card stock and stamped each with new leaf ink, as well as berries in pure poppy and berry sorbet.  Then, I die cut four "Peace" frames from pure poppy, new leaf, aqua mist and berry sorbet card stock.

Each one is attached to a white Enclosed: Basic Folded Tag die and on the back of each one, I added a piece of plaid paper.  I simply die cut them from the same tag die, and just cut off the front half.

Here's a peek at one tied on a gift....

Whew!  What'd I tell you?!  Longest post ever?!  Haha!  Well, like I said at the top of the post, a lot of these new stamp sets are being introduced today, over at Nichole's blog plus Laurie, Melissa and Betsy are showcasing them on their blogs too!
