Hi there!

Oh man, are you in for a treat today!!!  It's time for another Papertrey Group Post and this is a FUN one!!  Not only is this fun, but we're here to help you get a plan in place for creating all sorts of your own holiday tags and wraps this year!  I LOVE making my own gift tags.  I could make Christmas tags all the live long day!  Haha!  And I LOVE using them on our Christmas gifts, even more.  That's partly because they're just pretty, but partly because I absolutely love how much a festive, handmade tag dresses up generic store-bought wrapping paper!  Add a big floofy bow (yes, floofy!) and you're set!  You'll have the best lookin' gifts on the block!  Over here, we've even gotten to the point, where we write on our gift tags in pencil and then they can be re-used again and again!  Some of our family even pass them back and forth each year, erasing and re-writing (till they get worn out, anyway!)!  I love that the time I spend making them doesn't just 'go to waste'.....they get used and loved and in some cases, used again!  SO....that being said, I have a LOT to share with you today!  A LOT.  Better settle in and get comfy.  Run to the bathroom right quick, if you need to.  Grab a cuppa.  You're gonna be here for a bit! LOL.

All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on September 15 at 10pm EST.

To start things off, let me just say that I used the same basic color combo for most of what I created for today, with the exception of a few tweaks here and there.  By doing this, you can speed up your creative process a LOT, just by eliminating some of the color guess-work out of it for yourself.  My advice is to pick a few colors you love -- think in terms of what types of wrapping papers you're usually drawn to -- and then pull out those colors and get to it!  By the time we get to the end of this post, you'll see a whole PILE of tags I've got ready to roll now, all in the same basic color scheme and yet all with a very different feel!  Yay!

So first up, these are the new Minute to Make: Holiday Tags 2 stamps designed by Nichole.  The die cuts out three tags at once and the stamps were designed to work together, so that you can stamp quickly and with different colors to create gorgeous store-bought looking fancy tags that are EASY!  Gotta love that!

So what you see here, is the product of 5 stamps -- the lines, the "holiday", the "holiday outline", the word "cheer" and the "to/from"!  By lining the tags up and stamping them assembly line style, you can literally create a pile of these in just minutes!

Next up are Lizzie Jones' Ribbon Slider Tags!  Now for these, there are two different die styles -- one with one slit and one with a slit on each end.  I used the single slit here and paired two little tags together.  I love stacking a couple tags like that....makes them more interesting and fun since they're a little 'interactive'.  On the back tag, I used the new white tag card stock, which is super thick and sturdy.  I stamped the 'to/from' image on the white layer and then stamped other fun images from the set on the top layer.

For the tag above, I inked the sentiment in new leaf ink and then sponged on tropical teal at the top and bottom, to create an ombre look.

Next up is Erin Lincoln's Christmas Tree Change-Up goodies!  I used the Christmas Tree Change-Up Box die, but instead of making a box, I just trimmed off one of the trees -- it's a straight line along the bottom of the tree so it was easy peasy, and then stamped it with images from the stamp set.

I also used one of the companion dies to cut out the star and smaller tag and stamped both with more images from the set.  After punching a hole in the top of the tree, I added the tag and star (with some foam adhesive) and tied it on the gift!  Super cute and fun!  I'll just write who the gift is to/from on the back of the tag.  (That's what I do with most of the tags I make.  Super simple!  When you have as many littles in your family as we do, and 50 bajillion gift tags to make and gifts to wrap, I'm all about keeping some parts as simple as I can!  Ha!)

Ok, so here's a fun little gift idea for you......a fun mug and a coordinating coffee gift card, tucked in this cute little shopping bag die cut!  These stamps and dies were designed by Nichole and I decided to hang the little shopping bag on the outside of a store-bought gift bag for a fun little combo gift!

The shopping bag is meant to be adhered to the front of a card, but I just cut out two of them, glued them together, back to back, and voila!  Instant hanging bag!  I stamped it with images from the new In the Bag stamp set, tucked in a Starbucks gift card and this gift is ready to roll!

Ok, so you KNOW I could let the day pass, without making gift tags with some of my new stamp sets and dies too, right?!  I used Enclosed: Bell here, to create a set of JOYful gift tags.  Again....same basic color scheme.  I just reversed the order of what colors were used where.

The holly and all of the little companion sentiments (notice, they're all different!) are all from Enclosed: Bell.

Next up, how about some Deck the Halls tags?  :)

So I've told you before that I kind of love oversized gift tags and the Basic Bookmark Dies are just perfect for making them with just about any stamps you have on hand!

Here, I topped each tag with a wreath and bow from Deck the Halls, and then added various sentiments from my new O Holy Night set!

I added some pink rhinestones to finish them off.

And here is that whole glorious pile of tags -- these are just the ones from today's post!  13 tags!  Not to mention the others I've made for this release!  It just goes to show you that in just one or two sessions of tag making, you can whip up a whole stack of tags to have ready for gift-wrapping this year!

Ahhhh.....makes me so happy to see them all ready to go!  Now if I can just get my gifts wrapped earlier this year, I'll be super happy!  Haha.

One more before I go.....when you don't feel well, I don't know about you, but a warm cuppa just sounds good most of the time, right?  So why not make it a festive holiday cuppa for a get well card?

I paired the new Tucked In: Get Well with my previous released Candy Cane Christmas, the holly from Enclosed: Bell and the top of the Signature Series: Cupcake Die (to make the foam!).  To get the gradient color on the mug, I started with a piece of aqua mist card stock and did some ink blending just on the bottom portion before cutting out the mug with the Candy Cane Christmas die.  Then, I stamped the mug over the top, with versamark ink and the result is a shiny, but gradient mug!  LOVE!

K, I'm off for now, but if you've stuck with me this far then you're a trooper!  Be sure to check out the rest of the team's projects today too!  You won't want to miss a single one!
