The longlist for the 19th TV Choice awards has been announced today and boy it is a ‘Longlist” with some veritable names included. David Tennant is yet again amongst them in the Best Actor category for his role as Alec Hardy in the phenomenon that is Broadchurch. He is joined by his fellow Doctor Who stars, ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston (Safe House) and current twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who) as well as John Simm (Prey) who played the Master opposite David Tennant in Who.

Broadchurch itself gets another nod for Best Drama Series opposite Silent Witness, The Musketeers and Downton Abbey. But the Broadchurch awards keep coming with a nomination for Olivia Colman for Best Actress as Ellie Miller opposite David Tennant’s cranky Alec Hardy.

Another project of David Tennant’s included in this years longlist is the BBC Two comedy, W1A which has just concluded it’s second series and was yet again narrated by David.

Other categories included in this years TV Choice awards are Best Soap, Best Daytime Show and Best Talent Show and many more.

Voting for the longlist closes at midnight on Friday 5th June. To vote for your favourite head over the TV Choice Magazine website (only one vote per person).
