Disney’s Jake and the Neverland Pirates, featuring the voice talents of David Tennant will premiere on the Disney Channel in the US on Monday July 6th at 9am ET followed by an outing on Disney Junior at 7:30pm. This is a change to the original air date of July 14th.

David is the voice of an evil Genie in an episode entitled Dread the Evil Genie.
The Annie award-winning series, based on the popular Peter Pan franchise, focuses on a band of young pirates consisting of Jake, Izzy, Cubby, their parrot Skully and Bucky, their living pirate ship, who continuously spend their days competing against Captain Hook and Mr. Smee for treasure. They are often accompanied by several characters, including their mermaid friend Marina and Skully the parrot.
In this brand new episode, hero Jake and his mates help Pip the Pirate Genie from being captured by baddie Dread, who drains genies of all their magic power so that he can boost his own.
Dread the Evil Genie and more episodes of Jake and the Neverland Pirates are all part of the “Soaring Over Summer” multi-platform event which started June 29th including alternating series Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, Miles from Tomorrowland and Henry Hugglemonster.
