50th Anniversary- The Day Of The Doctor
The Arqiva British Academy Television awards will be announced tonight in a televised ceremony hosted by Graham Norton at a glittering event from the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London. The BAFTA Television Awards,will reward the very best in television broadcast on British screens over the past year.
Two of David Tennant’s project’s, Broadchurch and Doctor Who- The Day of the Doctor have been nominated. Olivia Colman has been nominated for Leading Actress for Broadchurch while her co star David Bradley is nominated for supporting Actor. Broadchurch itself gets the nod for Best Drama Series.
Part of tonight’s celebrations is the Radio Times Audience award voted for by the viewing public. Doctor Who – The Day of the Doctor and Broadchurch go head to head in this category along with Breaking Bad, Gogglebox, The Great British Bakeoff and Educating Yorkshire. May the best show win!

This years awards are sponsored by Arqiva, the communications infrastructure and media services company that operates at the heart of the broadcast, satellite and mobile communications markets. Customers include major broadcasters such as the BBC, ITV, BSkyB and the independent radio groups, major telco providers including the UK’s four mobile network operators, and the emergency services.
