Tonight in a glittering ceremony from The Grosvenor House in London with host comedian David Walliams, the 2015 Broadcast Awards will be announced. These awards celebrate innovative formats, heart-breaking drama, rollicking comedy and sparkling entertainment and represent chance to reward the great programming that broadcasters and producers have delivered.
Over 12 months after airing the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor is still receiving recognition with a nomination for Best International Programme Sales following its 96 country simulcast on the 23rd November 2013 and the one-off drama, An Adventure in Space and Time written by Mark Gatiss (Sherlock) is also nominated for Best Single Drama.
2015 is a special year for the Broadcast awards as they reach their 20th birthday and in celebration, a special award has been added. Ten of the most popular Broadcast award-winning shows will go head-to-head in the Timeline TV award which will be chosen by guests at the ceremony. The nominations include Broadchurch, Educating Yorkshire, The Office and Who Do You Think You Are?
