The origins of Battlestar Galactica
History of Battlestar Galactica started in September of 1978 when the American television channel ABC showed the first episode of the series. The creator of a new epic TV show became Glen A. Larson and Richard Colla directed the first episode. Originally it was planned to release a series of television films, but in the end it was decided to order the full-time TV show. However, the fate of a new saga was unenviable. After the first season of ABC closed “Galactica” TV show. Causes – a big budget required for each episode and low ratings.
Despite the closure of the show, ABC management still decided to go back into the universe of Galactica, but with a cheaper series. Hatch even took a special roller to draw the attention of studio bosses. His shooting was attended by many stars of the original Galactica, and the first show was held at the video conference DragonCon in 1999. But the project Hatch remained unrealized.

The first trailer was released on November 9 of 2013.
In early 2013, this 2-hour movie was released on the channel Syfy and on the 19th of February the director’s version was released on DVD and Blu-Ray.

1. Mini-series

4. BSG 3 season

5. Battlestar Galactica: Razor
The TV feature movie called Battlestar Galactica: Razor was released in September 2007. The story tells the events that occurred on the star cruiser “Pegasus” from the beginning of the Second Cylon War to their meeting with Galactica, and the first task of “Pegasus” under the command of Apollo.
6. BSG 4 season
Released on television of the fourth season happened in April 4, 2008.
7. Battlestar Galactica: The Plan

The latest TV movie that serves as the prequel to the whole storyline. It is recommended to watch before the series or after it – this is basically an independent story.
