Comtrade Software is introducing Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) management pack for Nutanix that will enable monitoring of the entire Nutanix environment.
Nutanix delivers the agility and economics of the public cloud without sacrificing the security and control of on-premises infrastructure. Comtrade partnered with Nutanix to provide deeper levels of application monitoring and awareness, giving IT teams ability to visualise application performance trends, monitor device health and usage, and receive alerts as part of their everyday activities within Nutanix’s Prism user interface.

The new plug-in incorporates the latest Microsoft System Center innovations and offers topology discovery, root cause analysis and proactive alerting for nodes, clusters, virtual machines, storage, data protection and replication.
“The Nutanix Management Pack from Comtrade opens new capabilities to identify workloads dynamically across Nutanix clusters and correlate this data with other management packs and dashboards,” explained Stefan Roth, Microsoft MVP for System Center Cloud and Datacenter Management. “It can identify if there is Citrix running within the VMs. Simply put, your MP will dynamically know what is running inside your VM, and present the information in comprehensive dashboards.”
