Isabell de Hillerin is a young and promising fashion label that was recently awarded the Bunte New Faces Award in the category ‘Best Fashion Label’. Her style could be described as sober romanticism as her work is about a clean, sleek silhouette that she reinvents each season by highlighting details and adding new elements.

For Spring / Summer 2015 Isabell de Hillerin worked with transparency, drawing attention to the sensuality of the female body but keeping it demure. Lapels of a translucent blouse cover breasts, and transparent lines cross the otherwise opaque trousers, showing a thin line of bare skin. Layers of tulle cover mini skirts and dresses, playing around with layering and gradation. In Isabell’s hands the transparency becomes a double-transparency, featuring such looks as a gauze top with an extra layer of tulle on top of it, styled with cropped shorts for everyday use. It’s the combination of items that prevent the wearer from looking too romantic.

The colour palette consists of muted colours such as black and white, teal, shades of grey, blue, and then pastels such as blush pink, ivory and ecru. Overall, the collection’s pieces have the ability to be worn by mature women as well as their younger counterparts.
