STARZ has premiered a batch of ten new photos from the much-anticipated first season of Neil Gaiman’s “American Gods” series which will premiere on the cable channel on April 30th.
The eight episode run deals with a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs.
Ricky Whittle plays Shadow Moon, an ex-con who becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to Mr. Wednesday, a conman but in reality one of the older gods, on a cross-country mission to gather his forces in preparation to battle the new deities.
The shots include first looks at Jonathan Tucker as Low Key Lyesmith and Crispin Glover as Mr. World, along with new photos of Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Cloris Leachman, Kristin Chenoweth and more.
