The winter Television Critics Association press tour has begun with streaming giant Hulu one of the first to offer a look at its upcoming slate. Along with the high-profile “The Handmaid’s Tale,” the streamer talked up its new eight-part series “Harlots” which was directed only by women and boasts an all-female writing and producing team.

The brothel drama stars Samantha Morton, Lesley Manville and Jessica Brown Findlay and offers a “whore’s eye view” of Georgian-era London. Showrunners promises as much male nudity as female nudity and to tell the story from the perspective of women.

Next up, Hulu will be the home of the four-part UK mini-series “National Treasure” starring Robbie Coltrane, Julie Walters and Andrea Riseborough. Coltrane plays half of a popular, long-running comedy act who finds himself at the center of a media firestorm when he is accused of past sexual abuse. The event series begins airing on March 1st.

Finally Hulu has closed a deal with Disney-ABC TV for exclusive SVOD rights to ABC comedy “Black-ish,” along with streaming rights for the entire seven-season run of comedy classic “The Golden Girls” with the latter to debut all 180 episodes on February 13th.
