In March 2012, Nick and I went to New Zealand for our honeymoon. It was a long 3 months of detailed planning before we embarked on our trip. I did 98% of it, and he gave his input when I asked for his opinion.
This time, we’re going again, on almost exactly the same dates, but we’ll be going with my parents! Super excited about our 16-day road trip from South Island all the way to North Island.
We’ll be landing in Auckland, then flying right into Dunedin, where we’ll start our slow drive northwards, all the way back to Auckland. That’s some 2700km to be covered in 16 days (similar to what we did in South Island only, back in 2012. Here is the rough plan for this trip:

So far, I’ve only planned the route, and booked half the accommodation. Nothing else has been done. And we’re 3 weeks away to the big trip. Good game.
