With the warm weather comes the beginning of prime wedding season on the North Fork and local food and wine are the perfect pairings for any wedding day.

Many couples enjoy indulging in a local pour. Of course, you need a venue in which to serve your wine, and there’s no wedding quite like a North Fork wedding. While you’re taste testing your way down Route 25, check out some of the area’s picturesque venues. The scenic views, the luxurious but relaxed atmosphere, and some of the best venues and customer service you could hope for are just a few of the many reasons countless couples choose to have a wedding on the East End. Whether you’re looking for an intimate wedding or an sumptuous affair, a themed wedding or a classic fête, we’ve rounded up some of the not to be missed venues on the North Fork.

North Fork Wineries

Of course, Long Island Wine Country boasts dozens of venues perfect for beginning a life of wedded bliss. On the western end of the wine trail, Martha Clara Vineyards boasts 200-plus acres of property, offering both indoor and outdoor locations for your wedding. The Northville Barn, available for charming rustic weddings year-round, can fit up to 200 guests. Located in Cutchogue, Bedell Cellars is another popular North Fork wedding venue. Events are held in the tasting room, which can accommodate up to 200 guests. The 4,000 square foot mahogany deck area overlooks the vineyards. Bedell ceremonies or cocktail hours can be held in the apple orchard and west lawns. Of course, Sparkling Pointe, the only winery in New York State devoted exclusively to the production of sparkling wines, provides the perfect location for celebrations. The Southold tasting room, with a VIP Bubble Room lounge, provides a very elegant backdrop for a wedding.

Brecknock Hall

The North Fork’s Brecknock Hall is an Italianate-style restored historic manor home. Originally build in the 1850s, the mansion includes four quaint parlor rooms, a large center hallway, sprawling lawns, a patio for tented celebrations, a bridal salon and groom’s quarters. Brecknock can comfortably accommodate 85 guests for an all-indoor event with a seated dinner. For less formal cocktail parties, about 125 guests can be accommodated. For larger guest lists, the space’s patio may be used to set up a tent, under which 200-plus people can be seated.

Brecknock Hall is located at 1 Brecknock Road., Greenport; Call 631-593-8200. Visit brecknockhall.com.

Suffolk Theater

The restored 1933 Art Deco theater in the heart of Riverhead, registered as a historical landmark, is one of the East End’s newest wedding destinations. The multi-purpose space can accommodate 300 people for a ceremony and reception. The Suffolk Theater boasts two full bars—a main bar and a deco lounge bar—as well as an onsite catering and culinary department. As it’s a theater, couples can expect their wedding to be a Broadway-quality production, with theatrical lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system and two audio/visual screens, perfect for the video montage of how the happy couple met.
