Summer in the Hamptons means indulging in the fabulous dining scene, where there’s always something new being served—from menus to locations to chefs.

There’s something to be said about partaking in a time-tested mainstay, but if you’re in the mood for something new, we've got 50 bits of foodie news for you. If you are a regular follower of Hampton Eats, you have probably heard several of these items before, but there is sure to be plenty here that is news to you.

SPICE IT UP AT SAAZ
At long last, a remedy to the lack of Indian cuisine in the Hamptons is upon us—with the arrival of Saaz! The space most recently occupied by Greek Bites Grill and Spiro’s in Southampton has undergone a renovation—of space and style. Curry and company have arrived!

BRIDGING A GAP
For the first time in its 219-year history, the Bridgehampton Inn & Restaurant features an on-site restaurant. Operated by the Bridgehampton Loaves & Fishes cookshop, it offers the culinary creations of chef de cuisine Arie Pavlou, who brings French-infused dishes to the table, supplemented by a growing wine list and homemade desserts.

FLAVOR WITHOUT GUILT
Nothing says summer like a frozen treat, and the newest cool sensation to hit stores in the Hamptons is DF Mavens non-dairy frozen dessert. NEW START ON THE END
Gurney’s Seawater Grill is introducing a completely revamped menu this summer, thanks in large part to its new executive chef, Seth Levine. The new menu mixes gastronomy, comfort food and fine dining, and is accompanied by a reengineered cocktail menu. The restaurant, too, has been redesigned, featuring a tasteful black-and-white interior with Gurney’s famous breathtaking view of the ocean.

NEW AT GEORGICA
Georgica Restaurant & Lounge recently unveiled its new eclectic American menu, cooked up by new executive chef Greg Grossman. Georgica also brought in chefs Matthew Fisher Redington and Kazuo Yoshida to assist with the conversion. The new menu features a number of twists on classic Georgica dishes, as well as some all-new inventions.

FOODIES DOCK AT WESTLAKE
Westlake Fish House has undergone a renovation, while still maintaining its authentic Montauk fish house look. Executive chef Larry Kolar has introduced fresh tastes to the restaurant’s menu, focusing on local ingredients from farms and vineyards on the East End. Original cocktails and a dockside location round out the culinary experience at Westlake.

TURNING THE PAGE
Page 63 has brought in well-known East End chef James Carpenter, who has redesigned the menu toward more sustainable and health-conscious fare. Locally grown ingredients are the name of the game here, as Carpenter trims fried items from the menu and adds a smattering of seafood dishes.

SWEET ARRIVAL
Founded by an East Quogue couple, Hampton Chocolate Factory collaborates with the top chocolatiers to create beautifully packaged artisan chocolates, and gift boxes are named after East End villages. Look for Hampton Chocolate Factory at Hampton House in Westhampton Beach, Sonny’s Prime Meats in East Quogue and Schmidt’s Market in Southampton, and feast your eyes.

RE-MADE
After years on Main Street, Sydney’s “Taylor” Made Cuisine has moved to new digs just north of the Village Green in Westhampton Beach. In addition to offering their famed gourmet take-out fare from the refurbished 1860s farmhouse, now there’s also a 16-seat café serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

SEEING RED
Water Mill’s newest culinary addition, Red Stixs, brings a different kind of Chinese restaurant to the Hamptons—the fine dining variety—in the space that formerly housed Trata on Montauk Highway. Red Stixs will be serving traditional, Beijing-style food like scallion pancakes and the signature Peking duck, as well as takes on Szechuan and Western foods, such as Kung Pao chicken and fresh Maine lobster.

FOLLOW THE MONEY
Or at least the famous gold-bar-shaped French almond cake that made Financier Patisserie famous. The Wall Street favorite has arrived with a summer location in Water Mill, serving coffee, pastries, croissants and more Thursdays through Sundays, as well as offering special-order cakes that can be ordered on Wednesday and be picked up on your way out for the weekend.

NEW MAN AT THE TOP
Executive chef Kyle Koenig is now overseeing all food service at the Topping Rose House. Koenig was one of the first employees to sign on to Topping Rose House, joining the business as sous chef before being promoted in August 2013 to be chef de cuisine. Look for vegetable-centric dishes inspired by Topping Rose’s one-acre garden.

STEAK OUT
1 North Steakhouse will be celebrating its first summer in its new location. Having moved last fall to the former Ciao Bella Senhora space in Hampton Bays, they’ve added a new bar and lounge and revamped the inside and outside. Go for lunch or dinner, with daily specials including the popular Wednesday “Date Night,” which includes two entrées and a bottle of wine. Check out their new Nice Buns food truck parked outside the restaurant for lunchtime—with delicious on-bun sliders.

THRILL OF THE GRILLE
Restaurateur Tim Burke’s Backbar Grille, behind Tully’s in Hampton Bays, is ready for their first full summer season after opening last fall. The grille, bar and marina hosts live music, dance parties and happy hours with a full menu that ranges from fresh seafood to burgers.

BAGEL EMPIRE
Every day can be a bagel-on-the-beach day. The Goldberg’s Famous Bagels empire is expanding beyond their Southampton, Westhampton and Montauk locations. They’ve opened new branches in Bridgehampton, at the site of the former Pizza Place; and at the old Espo’s Surf Shop in Napeague. On the North Fork, look for Goldberg’s in Mattituck and Riverhead soon. Now East Enders will have delicious bagels wherever they roam. Restaurateur Richie Notar has opened Harlow East, replacing B. Smith’s on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor. GOOD GROUNDING
Colette Connor and Pamela Wolfert of The Inn Spot on the Bay in Hampton Bays have opened a healthy food truck this summer, called The Inn Spot...Out! with a variety of equipment, from a crêpe machine to a smoke deck, available for catering. MAMBO ON MONIEBOGUE
Café Mambo, on Moniebogue Lane, has opened a second restaurant, Mambo Kitchen, in the former Sydney’s location on Main Street in Westhampton Beach. The Kitchen specializes in burgers and sandwiches, with an artisanal market, serving some of the same foods that they offer at their Maui eatery, with an emphasis on local ingredients.
