After weeks of work, I am finally proud to introduce the newest addition to our lovely group of servers: CivCraft!
CivCraft is a server wide plugin that combines minecraft with the Sid Meier's Civilization. It makes for a totally different way of playing minecraft, and an addictive one at that. Like in Civilization, players control a Civ that they create from scratch. Only in CivCraft, it is first person. You chose where buildings go, what your Civ focuses on, and who your enemies are. Start from a simple camp, and make your way to building the greatest civ the world has ever seen. It can go as far as you want it to.
The Nether Ending Story Civcraft server will be an open server. This means that anyone can join and play. Of course it will still be a mature server, so don't think that anything goes 
. The server will be listed on the CivCraft homepage for anyone looking for a CivCraft server to see, so expect to see some unfamiliar faces, and of course, everyone is expected to act mature.
The server will only have two different ranks (besides staff). This is DamNation members, and non-damnation members. The two are separate only by color, and this is only to show who is a damnation member, and who is not. DamNation members will get no special powers, or privileges. You will also see some damNation players with a [Tag] in front of their name, this simply means that they are an admin on another one of the servers that is part of the Nether End Story. Again, they have no special powers or commands, it is only to note that they our staff on our other servers.
Along with myself as head admin for this server, I would also like to announce bunnies1230 and darthjimmy as admins for the CivCraft server. They are both long time members of damNation and are a big part of the community. That being said, even we as staff have no special privileges on the server. We cannot go into creative, or even fly. We only have the powers necessary to control chat, and any unwanted players, and of course fix any problems that the server might have.
Now onto more info on the server. CivCraft is a large server side plugin that changes just about everything in minecraft to make it like Civilization. This means that if you are just looking for your normal every-day minecraft experience, this server might not be for you. It has all new custom items, custom mobs, custom recipes, and all new game mechanics. It is highly recommended that you read up on the civcraft wiki at [url]civcraft.net/wiki[/url]. Of course the servers admins are well read up on the plugin, and are prepared to help you if you have any questions, but the wiki is the best way to find info. The Getting Started guide is a nice starting point.
