San Ramon, CA — Dec 2018 — DAITAN (www.daitan.com), a global software development company, announced today its expansion with a new Canadian headquarters and engineering Center of Excellence in Victoria, BC. Daitan CEO, Augusto Cavalcanti, along with members of the executive team, first visited British Columbia in August 2017 to explore whether Greater Victoria would be the right location to serve their client-base in the USA.
“We chose Victoria for many reasons, including its location in the Pacific Northwest region which known for a wonderful quality-of-life; the strength of its tech sector, and; exemplary Universities with strong engineering programs and partnership opportunities,” said Cavalcanti. “It is a perfect environment to continue to meet our growth goals and provide close proximity to the US, which makes it easy for clients to interact or even visit with software development teams.”
Daitan is beginning operations with eleven employees, and plans to grow to over 100 people in the next few years. As part of its growth plans, the company is participating in Canada’s Reciprocal Program for which it has already opened positions in Brazil and USA that Canadians can apply for employment at Daitan.
