My essentials for the early September season.

Even though it’s been years since I was at school, I can never resist browsing for a fresh set of stationery and everyday essentials when September rolls around.

I think the whole concept of the school year starting in the ninth month came from when children would have to help their families farm over the summers - isn’t that odd to reflect on? Regardless of its reasonings, I quite like the faux fresh start that September offers and I’m definitely all about an impromptu BTS edit, even at the grand age of 25!

bkr Glass Water Bottle - 500ml, £25, bkr - I remember when these bottles arrived on my desk at an office I worked in last year and becoming besotted with the beautiful simplicity of its silicone sleeve upon sleek glass. Whilst a smidge pricey, the bkr bottles are unlike any other. A must for back-to-school season!

Telegram Notepad, £10, Kate Spade - Every time I peruse the stationery department of the Kate Spade store on Regent Street, I declare that I’ll become a surefire user of these stationery odds and ends and yet it never quite happens. Even so, this ‘Telegram’ notepad would make quite the addition to a freshly tidy desk, no?

17-Month Large Stripe Agenda, £30, Kate Spade - Is there a single blogger in all the land that hasn’t lusted after a Kate Spade agenda? In fact, I didn’t think I was that kind of girl until I flicked through one the other day. They’re the perfect size for students and young professionals alike, beautifully made, designed and squished with those inspirational quotes that us bloggers know and love.

Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm, £19, Aesop - Without fail, I always pick up a fresh tube of this hand balm when the seasons change. It’s a daily necessity for hands that become dry and chapped and the imminent milder weather is a total temper trap for that! I wax lyrical about this product time and time again but it really is my favourite and I guarantee your palms won’t be left greasy.

Blair Large Pencil Case, £32, Radley - I grew out of pencil cases a long, long time ago and yet this adorable Radley one winged its way onto my wishlist. So darn cute.

Clinique Super City Block SPF40, 40ml, £16.20, Clinique - Key to everyday beauty is a good SPF and I’m seriously into the Clinique Super City Block; it’s full of antioxidants and is ultra kind to the skin. Also layers well underneath makeup!

Baja Chain Bracelet, £220, Monica Vinader - And finally, what is more nostalgic for September than heading back to school, University or work with a fresh friendship bracelet laced firmly onto your wrist? This Baja bracelet from Monica Vinader is my absolute favourite: I’m best friends with the remnants of summer, duh.

What are your must-buys for September?
